The Good, the Bad, and The Ravens

I wish Arians could shed 10 years and be out HC. In an interview with barstool sports he was asked what QB in this class would he be most excited to coach and he said Lamar.

Maybe that's why he was doing this game... Let the theories start.

This might not end well for the defense. Still got a match up against Big Ben, Andy Dalton(You know how it usually goes down against him), Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, and Patrick Mahomes. If the defense falls flat on it's face for all of these games like they did today then I won't know what to say.

But we did make him one. We won’t know if he really looks the part until he gets playing time - significant playing time. Maybe he gets that at the end of the season but I doubt it. I expect we’ll be clinging to hope of salvaging this season to the bitter end.

I don’t think the organization is going to be keen on a hire that is ready to move on from Jackson the day he walks into the building because he’s not his guy.
Let me put it another way while trying to remain tactful. No other team thought of Lamar as a first round QB and I’ll just leave it at that.

The Titans sack fest was an anomaly . We really don’t have a great pass rusher . Many teams have that one guy .

I could easily see our D getting scorched by Rivers ,Mahomes ,Ryan and Big Ben . Dalton its a 50/50 shot .

With that being said , our chances of making the playoffs this year is much slimmer than the last two years where we were a play away .

That’s pathetic considering this years team is more talented and a lot of that is on Harbaugh .

K. I just don’t see us hiring an HC that will reject Jackson out of hand without giving him a reasonable shot at proving himself and I’ll just leave it at that.

Outdated defensive players. We have run defenders on the d line in B Williams and Pierce, Suggs on his last legs, Judon is trash, Z Smith seems like he can only rush from the inside, Tim Williams not getting enough snaps. Bowser looks like a bust. CJ can’t cover. Jefferson can’t cover a TE man to man. Jimmy looks like he isn’t 100% probably going to get cut. I said it before the season this roster is in bad shape going forward but for some reason people thought we had a good “core” group of players lmao

We now going to start again with Rodgers/Brady and draft rounds they were selected in?
We can build an offense for Lamar but just don’t think it’s going to get done with Harbaugh at the helm. We need a creative offensive mind and the front office needs to be on board and draft offensive play makers that fit Jackson and what he does best. Something we didn’t do for Flacco. As much as Harbaugh is at fault, I think Newsomes awful draft picks have been too much for coaching to overcome

Are you convinced that all the recent "awful draft picks" were made by Newsome?
I worry that some of the questionable decisions might have already been made by Decosta.

Harbaugh out - that goes without saying and it will be 2 years too late.

We can offload lot of salary / cap hit next 2 years if we are clever and rebuild the team on both sides. Lamar Jackson wouldn't be half bad starting point in doing that.

That is possible but Newsome has had the final say so the picks have been on him imo. DeCosta is into analytics and analytics didn’t like most of the players that we’ve drafted this past few years so I’m not sure that those were his picks. A little worried about his quote here
"It's not Ozzie's last draft. Let's put that to rest," "But the dynamic is changing. It will change next year."

Well he's going to be a part of the staff so I guess he'll be in the war-room and play a part, but he won't have that final say.

Yeah I don’t really like the free agents this upcoming off season, other than DeMarcus Lawrence. I don’t see a guy that’s worth giving a ton of money to. I don’t see DeCosta blowing everything up in one off season. We should really try to dump Brandon Williams contract as soon as possible though. I think the earliest is post June 1 with a savings of over 9 million. I really like this interior d line class especially when it comes to rushing the passer. Quinnen Williams, Dre’Mont Jones, Jeffery Simmons and Jerry Tillery all look like every good players.

I'm kind of expecting it at this point. Those are some poor passing offense and Joe is a November/December QB and that's where he plays at his highest level during the regular season so I could see this play out like the last two years where the offense gets things going but the defense lets us down.

Whatever coach we hire is going to be an offensive guy who’s top priority is gonna be building a scheme for lamar, I absolutely can’t see it going any other way. We traded a future 2nd for him, he was the spark that got fans interested in the ravens again, even if he doesn’t pan out he is still gonna bring electric and exciting play that will give us reason to tune in for at least 2 seasons, he’s gonna be our guy until he proves otherwise, and the next coaching hire is gonna reflect that.
