To be fair, the past two seasons Flacco has been pretty bad himself. Sure, Flacco played better in the back half of 2016, but his season overall was poor. 2015 was just a disaster all around. 2013 I honestly give him a pass for, as that was probably the worst offense I've ever seen the Ravens field since Joe got here personnel wise(Torrey was our only competent supporting cast member). The stuff from minicamp looked somewhat promising this year, and Flacco even without Pitta and Dixon actually has a solid supporting cast weapons wise right now(sans the offensive line), so there is hope for a turnaround. But ever since Marty got here his mechanics went to shit for some reason, as did his accuracy.
Except, he wasn't awful last year.
he was, there's a good reason why he was stuck behind gabbert for a while and its because he wasnt an effective passer - he missed reads and missed throws on a consistent basis and looked lost in the pocket for long periods - he was frustrating to watch because he has such a strong arm but he still cant throw touch passes and routinely throws uncatchable balls into the sidelines or just overthrows guys - not only that but a lot of his passes were behind his receivers or low to the ground - i saw very few good plays from him last year and most of those good plays were with his legs
The numbers say the exact opposite in every single facet. They would actually point to last year being the most efficient year of his career. He had a top 5 interception%, despite having some of the receivers in the game that were the least reliable. He was pretty damn aggressive with his passes, too, so to have that low of an interception% (1.2), it's highly impressive.
The ONLY truly terrible game he had was against Chicago. He had some great games in there, too, like NO, Arizona, Miami, LA.
Here's a really interesting stat, too.
On that Kaepernick stat: 144 quarterbacks have thrown 200+ passes in year turned 29. 143 on NFL roster when turned 30. Kap only 1 not.
But do me a favor- read the entire article and try to understand the stats about Kaepernick. He's really not that bad.

Sooo, we had a good QB in Tyrod Taylor on the roster and then let him walk thinking that Mallett was a better option. Now Tyrod is with the Bills as their starting QB while Mallett the "backup" is who we thought he was....PURE TRASH.....and now we're left with possibly signing Kap or RG3?

Didn't Tyrod want to start? Yeah he had no interest in coming back iirc and wanted to start. It isn't like hes an elite QB in Buffalo as they discussed cutting him but he's definitely been better than Mallett for sure.

Just let it be. people are always looking for drama. Sign Kap and everyone just get the fuck over themselves. The national anthem means nothing to me as a concept. It's a brainwashing tool and anyone who thinks otherwise is a laughing stock. Just be a human being and stop looking for labels to define you. I don't want Kaep for a number of reasons, the main ones being that he cannot help our team and will cause more of a headache than he's worth both skill-wise and cap-wise

He's the best backup QB in the league or at least one of the top 4 backups in the league. He's far better than mallett

Kap isnt going to do anything dramatic or draw attention to himself. Kap is no longer the instigator. It's people who are turning this into a bigger story than it needs to be. The media, Then the fans being constantly juiced up by the media and then the pathetic FO's of the team.

Sorry, I've had enough of this. Kap is the best backup QB we could have.Flacco is no world beater. If he gets hurt and Mallett is playing and messing up you'll all feel like idiots.

He didnt punch someone in the face, he didn't get dogs killed, he didnt run someone over while intoxicated, donte stallworth style, he basically protestest police brutality. Now I'm not a fan of statism and i think the american national anthem is a joke like all anthems BUT if its supposed to represent freedom and justice ( LMAO biggest joke so far, as statism cannot do that in its very nature) then how is kneeling and saying '' hey, i know what this means but it's not actually happening so you're not getting my admiration'' a bad thing?
