Hated that 3rd and goal playcall. I get that’s our most dangerous short yardage weapon but sometimes it feels way too predictable and with the empty set and Ricards motion it felt so obvious what was coming

1st down: run up the middle
2nd down: run up the middle
3rd down: empty set, Ricard motion to run up the middle with Lamar.

We’ve been dominant running in the red zone until last week, now we’re stagnant. It feels like growing pains to me, we’re gonna have to be in these situations and figure it out, we haven’t found what works when the red zone run game isn’t punching it in every time.

The good news is, we’re a defensive team and we’re built for that kind of game.

The thing holding this team back in general is lack of pass rush, wildly inconsistent OL play, and poor discipline with simple things like ball security / drops / STs.
