No Ravens fans in their right mind should be taking any opponent lightly given how this season has gone for us. Unless the defense forces a couple of turnovers, I feel like we're gonna have our hands full. Like I said before, I expect our offense to start off sluggish so this is gonna be a test for this offense to get on track while playing from behind..This is a game where I feel Ravens fans are severely underrating what the Lions can do.
They're 5-1 and an incredibly good team with real talent.
The Ravens are already struggling to run the ball effectively and the Lions have the best run defense in the NFL right now.
I'm not scared of that pass defense, really, but the Ravens seem to get antsy when they get into unfavorable down and distances and that Detroit defense isn't going to make it easy for the run game to create favorable down and distances.
Of course, Aiden Hutchinson is the star of that show. The Ravens will have to make a really concerted effort to shut him down, but I do feel if they can keep extra attention his way, the pass rush can be slowed down.
Offensively, they're just talented across the board. It sounds like David Montgomery is going to miss some time, so that obviously helps a lot, and I'm not really terribly scared of Gibbs at the moment. The Lions don't seem to have full faith in him, despite him showing explosive and game breaking ability in space. I just really don't think the Ravens will give him that space.
But passing wise? This feels like a mismatch depending on what happens with Hamilton and Williams. I haven't heard news about Williams hamstring and does Hamilton get suspended? Geno Stone can make up for one, but who plays S2 if both are out? Stephens? Well, then you're down another corner that's playing really well.
And no matter what you think of Goff, he was the first overall pick because he had the talent to be that first overall pick. He's showing and justifying that pick this year. He is playing absurdly well and I would be hesitant to dismiss him. That's without even mentioning that Reynolds, LaPorta, and Sun god are playing really well and Jamo still has game breaking speed.
On paper, it seems like this game will come down to which passing game can get going better and I'd expect that to be Detroit. Not because I don't trust Lamar, but I don't trust the Ravens weapons to consistently show up and compete with how well Detroit's own passing offense is playing. I'll be really interested to see if Baltimore's pass rush can get going against the Lions offensive line because right now, Baltimore leads the league in sacks, oddly enough, but that Lions line is... a wall.
St. Brownplaying conservative and winning by field goals isnt going to beat elite teams like this
whos sun god?
Harbaugh said Marcus Williams isn’t long term, but seems iffy for this week.
Urban has a stinger and is being evaluated.
Seymour nothing serious.
Harrison in protocol but seems like he’ll clear quickly.
Biggest news is that Bowser seems unlikely to be back anytime soon if at all. Said new things have developed and he’ll leave it to Tyus to address.
Also said he’s close to a return to practice so good news thereThe Bowser news really sucks.
What about Oweh?
Yeah I mean its not really surprising, but Bucs are largely frauds. They've beaten the Vikings and Bears, two of the worst teams in the entire league, and they beat an average Saints team. They've played two good teams, at home, and lost by 14 to both, while looking largely inept on offense in both. They whoop’d on the Bucs yesterday. Watching in person I couldn’t help but notice how often the Lions D line won up front. Baker never had a chance to step up in the pocket.

Lions are an impressive team, but beating the Bucs isn't anywhere near the top of their resume.
And like the Bucs may even win 9-10 games this year and make the playoffs, because their schedule is highly favorable. They play six games in division, against maybe one of the worst divisions we'll ever see, and they play eight games against the AFC South and NFC North.
They're going to play probably 4-5 really good teams this year (Detroit, Philly, SF, Buffalo, maybe put JAX in that list) and they're going to lose 100% of them. They check all of the boxes of a team who squeaks out a divisional win at 10-7, and then gets boat-raced in January by Dallas or Philly in a wildcard game.
Did we ever get clarity on what Bowser's injury actually was? Maybe I missed it, but stuff like this makes me think something career-ending, or something like "non football related".Harbaugh said Marcus Williams isn’t long term, but seems iffy for this week.

Only thing I’ve seen is knee inflammation/irritation. Don’t know that I’d jump to that conclusion, but almost surely feels like a scenario where surgery might be an option since the rehab clearly hasn’t produced the wanted results.Did we ever get clarity on what Bowser's injury actually was? OK. I wasn't even sure of the body part. These sort of cryptic "I'll let the player speak about it" type deals tends to make me think more of like a "we found he has cancer as part of a body scan" or something like that. Not suggesting he has cancer or anything other than the injury, but I've seen these little cryptic things go sideways when the team doesn't even want to comment on personal injury info broadly.Only thing I’ve seen is knee inflammation/irritation. totally unfortunate. I didn't see Bowser being an issue in the offseason....obviously prior to knowing he had a knee issue. Wonder how it happened?Only thing I’ve seen is knee inflammation/irritation.
