That was Lamar's stated goal at the draft, which I loved because I think every player should aspire to be the best ever. If that is your stated goal, which again it was, then you can be expected to play better. The standards are higher when you both want to be considered on that level and have shown you SHOULD be considered on that level.

You are now making a different point. If the point is that Lamar should be better than we can all agree. However, you chose to narrow it down and specifically said he was playing for a MVP.

I just wish we threw it more and took those shots. Just the shear amount of volume we lack but that's just the passing game in general. We don't throw the ball anywhere near as much as most teams

Regarding deep passes:

I have to wonder if it's play calling or Lamar. I haven't seen the All-22 to confirm they're not dialing them up, but it would be nice to see more because you can't complete those plays if you're not attempting them.

We are also pretty efficient at scoring when we get into the redzone. We love running the ball there

Except that is not what I said. That might be how you read it but it is not what I said. To be considered in the MVP race means you are considered to be playing as one of the top 3-4 QBs in football. The MVP is the QB who had the best year among the top performing teams.
