2024 Baltimore Orioles

Looks like Jackson Holliday is on his way back to Baltimore. He was notably absence from the lineup against the Charlotte Knights.

I feel like it’s still too early, but with Jorge out and Norby gone they may feel like they need to. I’m hoping not.

Juggling all of these new guys on the 40-man is going to be interesting to see. Most of them have no options so we'll likely be seeing our younger guys shuttling back and forth between here and Norfolk. I like that Holliday is coming back up. He hasn't been setting AAA on fire, but after his first go round he needs the opportunity to put it behind him. Soto, Eloy, Elfin, Rogers, and Dominguez are all super intriguing if they give something closer to the best they've done in the past. Even some of the guys who seemed simple addons to those guys seem interesting, plus nabbing 22 year old Pirates RHP prospect, Patrick Reilly for a 25 minor league utility player, Billy Cook looks good too.

While the moves might seem kind of lackluster, they definitely checked all of the need boxes and plugged some holes in next year's roster. If these guys can perform to or even slightly better than league average, we're much better off; especially on the pitching front.

I hope the new pickups help the team. I kinda knew a Tarik Skubal trade was a pipe dream.

I feel like they are in a throwing shit at the wall phase. Not that Mayo is shit, I don't mean it in that sense, but they need a spark and I don't think they have an idea where to get it. Westy getting hurt is a massive wrench in the mix that they didn't plan on. Rogers had some good pitches but there were a few I thought the ump was a little stingy on that forced more actual plate pitches. I hope he gets it straightened out because the whole time I was thinking how he reminded me of Randy Johnson. He's a tall guy and has that sweeping kind of delivery RJ had. If only looks meant equal talent. lol

Guessing they’re giving Heston some time to get it together. After getting beaned he’s been in a bit of a slump.

I think they IL'd Eloy with a hamstring injury... So that's the spot Mayo has. But he'll be playing 3rd and batting 8th according to someone on the Orioles forum.

Soto was kinda redundant with Jackson being moved up. With Jordan's injury, next man up! Let's go!
