2024 Baltimore Orioles

Orioles going off on the Yankees tonight. 8-1 lead already, this is the Orioles team we saw back in the Summer before the injuries. This is the Orioles team that can go on a postseason run like the Rangers did last year.
 
What seemed like a run away win, once again turned into a stressful one for Baltimore fans. O's fend off a tough comeback from the Yankees to take the series. The Yankees once again can not clinch the AL East. If for whatever reason, the Yankees lose out and the Orioles win out, the AL East is still obtainable for the Orioles.

 
Orioles clinched Home Field Advantage for the Wild Card Round and they will be playing the Detroit Tigers or Royals on Tuesday. If the Orioles advance, it sets up a divisional round rematch against the Yankees.

Rather have the Royals.
 
Corbin Burns starting Game 1 of the Wild Card Game. I really hope new ownership doesn't get cheap and makes an effort to keep him beyond this year.

It’s the norm to have to deal with injuries, but it seems we had to deal with more than our share. Kudos to Hyde for keeping things together.
Hopeful they can make some noise in the tournament.
 
If we get past the Tigers, I like our chances against the Skanks. It is shocking to me how resilient this team is. Four SP's from the opening day roster out most of the season, youngsters contributing, and we're in despite the trade deadline additions being only marginal, at best.

I won't lie that this is the one team I didn't want to see... It's either redemption from 2012's sweep in the ALCS or more punishment. It's amazing that the same teams line up in these situations. Even the Tigers, we swept them in the WC that year, so it would have been the same but reversed.

Who cares; let's just win. We're good enough to go all the way despite it looking dismal over the last many weeks. Suck it up boys! You've made it and we're with ya!!! ;)
 
We need new hitting coaches, Hyde is starting to look like a playoff choker. They were swinging at everything for some stupid reason, and of course getting hitters on base and doing nothing with it. We better get this to game 3, it's going to suck if we lose. I know the Orioles can go and beat the Yankees in the divisional round IF they get there.

It's how they've looked since the 2nd half. It's not really like last year at all

Yeah I thought for sure it was due to the injuries, and that with players coming back they could get back to where they were earlier in the season. Just wish we would have gotten Detroit because a Baltimore team losing to another Kansas City team in the playoffs is too soon.
 
No pitcher will want to come here with Hyde as manager. Doesn't let them get over 5 innings and in a PLAYOFF game pulls Efelin after just 4 innings. Hyde needs to be gone after we lose in the playoffs, be it today or tomorrow, or against the Yankees.
