That rule is sooooo stupid. In no other play are you allowed to go out and touch the ball without reestablishing yourself in bounds.

12 personnel needs to be the alignment we spend the most snaps in when andrews returns. Likely is too good to not find ways to use them together, and that works great because it’s a versatile run and pass personnel that you can maintain horizontal spacing with
