I expect Tunsil to hold up well on the left side. However, I expect our DC to attack the other 4 starters with games and try to create confusion. I know you guys had some injuries there earlier in the season. How is the rest of the OL holding up lately?

I expect this will be pointed out to the officials, wasn’t Hussey’s crew the crew that made it a point against Chiefs tackle doing something similar?

My question was more of, is this a tale our DL can use to our advantage as far as run or pass?

If the Ravens lose, Lamar is basically a better regular season version of Dak Prescott. Whether people think that's true or not is kind of irrelevant. He'll be a high quality regular season QB who wins a lot of games, and then loses most, if not all, of his playoff games. There will be no possible argument or explanation that doesn't lead back to that.

Ravens are pretty much in the same spot as the Cowboys... there's no justification to lose this game. The season is almost entirely defined as an abject disaster with a loss on Saturday (unless that loss involves like Lamar being injured early).
You can lose in the AFCG to Josh Allen or Pat Mahomes. That most people will tolerate. You can't lose at home to a rookie QB in your first playoff game.

That's called pressure. It's up to the Ravens to rise to the pressure.

Yea i disagree completely. This is just fan nonsense/insecurity. The old house money fallacy...Its why stupid people will bet on the Texans this weekend. Maybe Lamar is frustrated by previous seasons, but I doubt he is feeling much pressure. He is healthy and his game has continued to improve over the years. If anything he is coming in full of confidence. Theres no pressure on the organization either, we’re highly successful and have two relatively recent championships when your comparing them to a team like the Cowboys. John’s legacy as a great NFL coach is already cemented so he’s not sweating. Then you got studs like Ro, Hamilton, Linderbaum and Zay that weren’t even here for our past playoff failures. They couldn’t care less about scars from 2019.

Yeah this entire post is just complete bullshit. Wildly, wildly, wildly out of touch with reality.

I don't think John will get fired, nor will the organization make wholesale changes. But there would be very little positive to take from the season with a loss. The only positives will be that Lamar stayed healthy for a whole season, basically performed exactly how you'd expect him to perform a whole season, and you get maybe 1-2 coordinators better jobs. There won't be anything else to hang your hat on.

Lamar will be more expensive next year, many of the key players who have gotten you to this point won't be here next year, and there's a possibility that you'll have to learn new schemes/systems on one or both sides of the ball. And all of that is worth it IF you make it to at least the AFCG. It's a total waste of time to have the season you have and then lose at home in the divisional round to a clearly inferior opponent.

And I'm nowhere near the first person to write this either. The media, who isn't the fans, has been writing this for weeks now. And they're not wrong. The "bar" at this stage in the Ravens/Lamar relationship isn't "#1 seed and lose early in the playoffs". That's just not really that impressive at all. Quite frankly, it's closer to the minimum possible output than it is to the maximum.

Other teams have higher or lower standards based on how futile or successful they've been. They have to manage those, but they don't match what the Ravens current standard is.

I think he'll attack Tunsil with fresh legs every chance he gets. Tire him out for the 4th quarter. I also think Tunsil will be charged with double-teaming Mads which is not going to be easy... I expect the Ravens' front 7 to wear out the Texans O-line. It's going to be a masterful job of defensive coaching by MacDonald.

Let's not forget Tunsil was injured and didn't practice yesterday. So, attacking him repeatedly may work to our advantage.

IMO, offensive line depth should be the Texans #1 priority in the draft because of the injuries suffered this season. 2nd round pick Juice Scruggs out of Penn State looked promising but has been injured; he is now back in the lineup since late November.

Texans suffered 47 sacks this season but the last couple of games Stroud's jersey has been pretty clean. This Saturday the Texans are facing the D with the most sacks this season so I trust our coaching staff is putting an emphasis on protection and I expect to see some max-protect schemes put in place.

Not gonna lie, if we lose to the texans.. lamar will actually be in the same category as dak and the cowboys and there isnt anyway we could possibly disagree.. for lamar to receive no criticism at all, he has to win the SB cause even if he makes it and lose, people are gonna have something to say.

I just want to start fast to knock off some of my gametime nerves.
 
Texans are quite excellent at the foundational spots a franchise needs. Strength at Qb, coaching & DLine will get you far in this league and that's exactly why they are in the div rd. BTW, I'm not shocked, I had them at 8/9 wins, 2nd in AFc south and in the WC hunt. But Baltimore holds serve against them at all 3 spots, has a better supporting cast around the QB and a significantly better defense (especially the secondary). Throw in healthier and HFA and that 9 pt spread is right on the nose.

This is such unfair pressure, especially if Lamar plays great and the rest of the team ends up losing it for them. Remember our first Steelers loss? In Dak's case he fucking threw interceptions that were returned for TDs. He stunk in that game when it mattered. If Lamar plays the same way, I agree with you. Otherwise, it is silly to blame Lamar for the team's woes.

In any case, I don't think Lamar will lose because he'll put the team on his back and win it. I think he gets his SB this year, and next year too.

Cleveland's defense was weird this year. As in better than the '85 Bears at home but merely above average on the road.

Massively overrated imo, they really got some good stats going against some garbage opponents and QBs like whoever that guy from Arizona was.
