49ers winning is better for us I think. Green Bay with 2 good lines and a better QB would have been a tougher SB matchup.
Less halftime adjustments, and more just flexibility in general, seeing what the defense is doing and pivoting your approach on the flySo this is interesting. People like @rmcjacket23 have said for a long time the "half time adjustment" thing is a relatively big myth. And I'll say certainly I have 100% agreed with that. How much could you really diagnose and convey in 15 whole minutes?
With that being said in his presser Harbs said they were expecting pressure because they were successful with it in the first game. However, they changed some things up on us. Then at the half he said "we had to flip into some different protections" because of their unique way of doing things this game.
And like clockwork, OL protection was 1 million percent better. Which I guess goes to show, maybe half time adjustments are more possible than previously expected. In this case it was dramatic. I was wondering all second half how things could be so different, but it seems like there was some very substantial changes that were made meaningfully to do it.
Kudos to Joe D and the crew for getting it done.
Bruh… how did I miss this?
Lamar was so pissed at Ronnie for not blocking downfield and getting in his way.. dude didn’t wanna take his hand and got up on his own. LMFAO
I knew this is what people would say, but I think it's only half correct. You and @Simba have said the same thing. The offense has been more multiple so pivoting is easier. That's facts.Less halftime adjustments, and more just flexibility in general, seeing what the defense is doing and pivoting your approach on the fly
Joe D'Alessandris is perhaps one of the most underrated coaches we have. Our OL under his tenure has been at worst decent. 2021.....let's not go there, but still......So this is interesting. Well the intentional grounding should count as a sack. But the pressures stopped anything from happening the whole, the D allowed 3 points. What a performance! Now as for this game. First half had me stressing NEARLY as much as my dad was during the Niners game. Honestly, credit to the Texans coaching staff for getting constant pressure on Lamar.
Then the second half came around. So I saw Lamar's post game comments about how he basically was cussing people out in the locker room. No wonder why Lamar seemed so animated on the first drive of the 2nd half. You can tell how BADLY he wanted that TD. In a way, this game kinda reminds me of the Bucs game from last season. Once we started running the ball more in the 2nd half, we basically controlled the game. Shout out to Dalvin Cook for getting his late in the game.
Defensively, man. Not one sack on Stroud, but that's fine because we were getting tons of pressure on him. Run defense limited them to 38(!) yards. And one of those runs was a 16-yarder. Amazing performance.
We NEEDED this win so I'm beyond happy for the team ESPECIALLY for Lamar. Of course, he heard this noise about his playoff performances so for him to have 4 total TDs and not a single turnover is impressive.
I don't recall who it is, but someone brought up the weather for our game this Sunday. 60% chance of rain or something like that? If that's the case, GUARAN-DAMN-TEED we're playing the Bills because of course. Not a chance in hell we'll play the Bills in normal weather, right?
Had some early issues where the downfield was taking too long to develop and we were taking sacks. What do we do? Adjust and have quick slants and screens. What a wild concept. Can’t believe this is the first year we’re seeing that in a long time.
definitely thought he was a more interesting guy when i hadnt actually seen what he looked likeAlso gotta say the broadcast showing Ryan’s and Slowik constantly was annoying. I’ve seen enough Bobby Slowik for a lifetime.

Bills all day. Chiefs are a good defensive team.Who would you guys rather play in AFCCG…Bills or Chiefs?
I think everybody is right here. In game adjustments are continually being made. The difference is the coordinator and his judgements on what adjustments should be made. I used to get so pissed at Gro because it seemed he was so scripted and didn’t adjust during the game. Also halftime gives the coaches a few minutes to get the groups together without real bullets flying, and communicate what they have seen and what adjustments they want, to counter what the other team is doing.I knew this is what people would say, but I think it's only half correct. You and @Simba have said the same thing. The offense has been more multiple so pivoting is easier. That's facts.
But it clearly wasn't on the fly. If it was then the adjustments would've come earlier. Look no further than the most stark differences literally being the last drive before half (maybe the worst drive of the season that didn't end in a turnover) and the first after the half.
Harbs dancing is every white guy at a wedding after 3 drinks and I love it. Can’t wait to see his Super Bowl dance
Always liked him when he was in Buffalo. He's our kind of CB.Darby is a savage btw
My man looks like a literal dickdefinitely thought he was a more interesting guy when i hadnt actually seen what he looked like
