Next Up: vs. Chiefs (AFC Championship)

Surprise player: justice hill. The chiefs have had a poor run defense throughout the year, I don’t think that’s why though. I predict spags employs a gameplan that will try to force the ball out quick on passing downs while making it very difficult to run schematically, and monken counters with off tackle runs and swing passes and screens to justice hill, who has the hottest hand in the rb room

Wouldn't surprise me if we see a jet sweep to Zay. Gosh, what Keaton would've done with those off tackle runs.....

*sighs*

would love to hit him on a wheel too - not gonna be as easy as it was vs the dolphins though

love what monken's been doing with picks recently, especially in the redzone - feels like that's something we've hardly ever done that every other offence in the league has been doing for years... and now we're using them in key spots for important plays

Situationally our play calling is night and day difference to Roman, monken has a vault, Roman had a fucking post it note in his ass pocket with a half eaten lollipop stuck to it

I used to crab out of the bay all the time 15 years ago… still alive to tell the tale. But seriously Baltimore’s inner harbor looks like sludge
It really has improved. Baltimore is an old port city with old infrastructure, old sewer lines that would overflow during heavy rains. They’ve spent over a $1 billion to repair the sewers and are continuing those efforts.

The Chiefs are susceptible to both swing passes and screens. Our ends can be undisciplined at times and rush before they diagnose what is happening. Often times they are bailed out by our linebackers who are very good. If Gay can’t go because of his neck, Tranquil is a good substitute but we are thin after that.

Hell, I just love that our receivers aren't all going into the same exact spot on the field in their routes.

we've also seen monken pull a few key plays last week from the Roman handbook too

those Lamar keepers with Ronnie lead blocking for him in space...
the roll-out play (as much as i hate it lol)

ironically i think we'll start to see more of that roman playbook come back into play as the lamar qb designed run game comes back into play this late in the year - it's the part of the offence that we've not really needed to go to... so much of lamar's rushing yardage this year has been on scrambles but we've not really used him as a designed run game threat until the texans game

can't wait til we see a properly executed inverted veer play either working off a jet motion from Zay or just purely off a shotgun/pistol formation

will especially funny if we're doing it with 2 TEs on the field with Andrews and Likely

they've also been really bad against shotgun runs

Roman had a couple great plays, sure. But part of being a great OC is also knowing when to use certain great plays and how to set them up. Monken knows how. Roman didn't always know how.

The inverted veer is beautiful when executed properly. I know he has that one in his back pocket
