Jeff's FA predictions, with a little bit of knowledge of the situation thrown in...

Stays:
Jadeveon Clowney
Ronald Darby
Malik Harrison
Sam Mustipher
Del'Shawn Phillips
Brent Urban
Daryl Worley

Goes:
Odell Beckham Jr.
Dalvin Cook
JK Dobbins
Devin Duvernay
Gus Edwards
Tyler Huntley
Josh Johnson
Arthur Maulet
Tyler Ott
Patrick Queen
John Simpson
Geno Stone
Kyle Van Noy
Rock Ya-Sin
Kevin Zeitler

Other than the ones that we know are pricing themselves out or already likely to move on, I think the only one I'd be disappointed to see leave is Arthur Maulet.

do we not think darby's gonna get offered more this year to play somewhere else
figured he was only as cheap last year because of how late he was available

With some teams like Buffalo and Denver going on a rebuild almost, cutting a lot of high salary players. It makes you realize how quick things happen in the NFL. Russell Wilson was traded to Denver just two years ago, now he's released and looking for a new team. Then you see what Buffalo is doing and they are rebuilding their whole defense, feels like next season could be even more crazy than this season.
Y’all keep thinking Buffalo is rebuilding…

yeah they're not rebuilding at all lol

Buffalo is very similar to us. If they have josh Allen, they’re a playoff team, if they have josh Allen plus a defense, they’re dangerous, if they have all that plus the coaches don’t suck in the playoffs they have a shot to win it all

best OL of Allen's career last year and 1 receiver (maybe 2) and they went toe-to-toe with the superbowl champions in the divisional round

He loosely alluded to that and I don’t disagree personally. Sounds like a they’d like to keep him but understand more money might be out there type of thing.

Agreed. Under the Maulet opinion, he did throw out that they like using Kyle and Marlon in the slot, so they may place more value in an outside CB or a S than they would a traditional sCB.

that would be my assumption too
they've also still got pepe and ardarius as more traditional slot options if they want

id assume anyone we'd be looking at at CB would be someone who can live outside (even if they're not a full-time outside corner) - don't think they're going to be targeting guys who are nickel-only options

darby really would be a great re-up if he's amenable and the price is right

Bowser giving some info on his knee injury. Seemed quite non-committal about his return to the Ravens obviously, but seems he figured out the problem and got it corrected at least.

Also from Jeff's most recent article...

"Wide receiver: As usual, Ravens fans are more concerned about the state of the receiver room than team officials are. They like the trio of Zay Flowers, Bateman and Nelson Agholor, and they likely will add to that group by picking from a loaded wide receiver draft class."

Never anticipated they would add someone from FA. They absolutely have to add someone during the draft however. Only Flowers is under contract next year

Not sure what to make of this.... not sure it means he stays and not sure it's not lip service. Maybe he hated Mike Macdonald lol.

Just a reminder how much drafting a QB is a crapshoot. So even if we had let Lamar go, who knows how long it would have taken us to find another QB. Even Trevor for being a "generational prospect" hasn't lived up to it.

Just can’t imagine a world where he’s back

If you could guarantee he plays next year then he’s probably worth more than the 5.5m you save by cutting him but feels like there’s no trust from the ravens that that could ever be the case

It seemed like the team was done with him but, then again, Harbaugh always acts like players have personally offended him by getting injured, so it might be nothing at all.

After Chris Jones massive $95M guaranteed deal, which also makes him the highest-paid D tackle by annual salary eclipsing even Aaron Donald, I am simply thrilled with the machinations of EDC signing Beeks to his deal before free agency began.
