2025 NFL Draft General Discussion

I think Harmon is on a level where you should stay put and grab him if he's there. The others though, yeah, try to trade down to the early second and still have options in the same tier.
I like Harmon a lot and absolutely wouldn’t mind him at 27, my only issue there is that you can land a DT of really similar quality a whole round later, maybe even 2 rounds. Sanders, Norman-Lott, Alexander, Collins, might not look quite like Derrick Harmon but goddamn if they aren’t REAL close but a whole round or 2 later

Disagree. Harmon is a lot better as an all around DT than them. The others are more specialized in what they do. He matches them at their specialty, and does the other stuff.

ive finally got far enough to have a distinct opinion about the characteristics of this class

the top of this class sucks

only 2 guys i'd give blue-chip top 10 grades to
and only a further 12 i've got 1st rounders on

but it's deep on day 2 - think there's gonna be some good talents still available in R4 - the worry for me is that there's not many obvious game-changers/playmakers at the top of this class

i dont think EDC will trade out of the 1st, but this might be the year to do it...

Jonah Savaiinaea in the 2nd round would be my Roger Rosengarten of this year...

Replace that bad Samoan with a good Samoan!

i think donovan ezeiruaku is the guy i want at 27 if he gets close
with DJ's latest mock i'm worried he's gonna go super high now but where he's been ranked previously, i think he's the guy i'd love to add

Twitch, bend, length, technique, shows some ability to counter

Gillotte feels underrated in the draft. Not one of the big names, but he will be productive, and I'd gladly take him if he's there in the third.

Wyatt Milum will probably have to move to guard in the NFL, but he'll be a great long term one.
I’ve been a quiet fan of gilotte myself, I need to rewatch because I haven’t in a while, but I feel like I recall seeing a guy with good bend and hands but maybe isn’t the most explosive. Will definitely need to freshen up on his tape

Yeah I'm in the fan club as well. Well summed up, just not an explosive athlete but he does have good twitch and can cross a Tackle's face in a heartbeat. He's pretty much a "know what you're getting" type of guy but every now and then there's a play that makes you raise your eyebrows because he absolutely cooked a dude.

i do not like him at all lol

i see a guy with short arms who struggles to shed blockers, a guy who doesn't consistently anchor well, has no pass rush threat outside with his lack of speed, only seems to have a speed-to-power/bull rush that he doesn't have any counters off

he's got good pad level (because he's naturally a shorter guy), he's got powerful hands, he's got good bend in his lower-half

but i see a guy who's draftable later on day 3 but i wouldn't want at all

Really beginning to love the idea of Derrick Harmon at 27

i would be very happy with that outcome
explosive and long, creates a ton of pressure with his club/rip moves, powerful (would like to see him use his power more... but you can project it to the pros easily) - a little stiff in his lower half

inconsistent finisher which will put the fear in ravens fans who hate "almost sacks"

Malaki Starks tape vs Texas is really, really bad. If we were to take him, this tape would be stuck in my head.
