Koi feeding controversy?
There was a lot of uproar on Twitter and everywhere else about Trump dumping his box of food in even the Prime Minister did it first lol.
I really like Shapiro and listen to his podcast daily but I would much rather see him in a senatorial role rather than a presidential role. He'd be a lot better as a pure policy drafter than someone who is supposed to enforce policy. He'd have the same problems as the previous three presidents and not be willing to work or compromise with the other side. He's far more along the lines of a "my way or the highway".I'm sick of hearing about Trump, I want to know whos up and coming and whos going to run in 2020 and 2024. Ben Sharpiro is the only guy who makes sense to me.
I'm no Trump supporter by any means. He's an asshole of the highest order.. But FFS... Get the hell over it. You want to make change? While you do have the right to go scream to the sky, it's not gonna get shit done(also ironic given that most of those people are likley atheists yet they're screaming to the heavens for a god). There's nothing you all can do about it. The electoral college: isn't going anywhere. Trump will remain President until HE fucks up... Which he will.
Want to make change guys? Vote.. Donate to causes you believe in. You think Donald Trump is gonna tear down planned parenthood: donate to it. That organization is so popular that it could likely get more than sufficient funding without government intervention. Flip side. You think that the inevitable democratic control of Congress is going to make guns illegal(it won't... Abolishing the second amendment is an impossibility), donate.
This is America. If there is one thing about this country you can do, it's donate to causes you believe in and vote. You have a semblance of power in this country so many other people in the world wish they had. I have donated money to homeless shelters, breast cancer awareness, hurricane relief. Hell, I'm pro choice, I'd probably donate to planned parenthood even though I'm a guy.
what's fucked up is that "the land of the free" literally takes your money in tax dollars but has an awful welfare state - like what are you actually paying taxes for at this point?
"Socialism" is a pretty nebulous concept that doesn't mean much without a context. What a lot of people call "socialist" in the US is just standard fare right-wing politics in almost every other western country. And what people in those countries call "socialist" is just a normal standard of living in Saudi Arabia. Not as much as we would if the socialist programs many are begging for come to pass.

And I brought this up earlier in this thread, but a lot of those other countries get better returns for their tax dollars. I looked into this and I'm paying about the same in tax here as I would be in the US (and I can live with paying more in tax to keep the right things properly funded) and for that money I get free healthcare, an interest-free student loan from the government, and what amounts to an unconditional income should I get made redundant or if something else happens. And the debt-to-GDP ratio here is about half that of the US.
The only thing that wil fuck up Trump are RINO's particularly John McCain. If anybody would actually kick back and think about it Trumps more like the normal Joe than most lifelong politicians and I really don't understand why you think he's an asshole.
On the planned parenthood it should be a state issue not a federal one.
You got me. I personally believe in the flat tax. No returns. No deductions. Nada. From the poorest to the most rich.
I'm out of town today so I'll reply in more substance in a day or two when I've got more time. The only thing that wil fuck up Trump are RINO's particularly John McCain. If anybody would actually kick back and think about it Trumps more like the normal Joe than most lifelong politicians and I really don't understand why you think he's an asshole. Is it cuz he's not politically correct and tells it like it is. If it is me and you both in the same asshole club. And if he's too arrogant then turn your head as far left as you can ( hopefully w/o pinching a nerve) and you'd see Obama. Just as arrogant. A lot of people who really don't follow politics just blindly hate Trump cuz they follow the pack. Best thing was there was an episode with Jesse Watters on a college campus asking them what they thought of Trumps tax plan and they all hated but when it was told it was Bernie's plan they all loved it. Go figger. Lol.

Whats really rich tho are our generous foreign aid donations to all the countries that we give too but their people still come here in droves cuz of poor living situations.
One of these days you will realize that what can be done in NZ and places like Finland only happen cuz of strong borders(merit based immigration) and a fraction of a fraction of our population. All the wealthy would probally move out or stash all their funds in foreign banks and then the middle class here would be totally fucked and be the servants of the govt. If capitalism doesn't work then why the hell does everybody want to come here. Look at all the countries south of us and realize what type of govts they run. When something is not broke you don't suddenly start radically changing it. If anybody disagrees with me then ask yourself how much you trust the govt then ask yourself would you really like them to control everything. Just look at the VA. That's govt run!!!!! And its run like shit!!! And then politicians and elites can have their family doctors and gold star plans. All federal employess should be on Obamacare.
Also socialism is in no way "right wing poltics". Please don't be telling me that Maduro is right wing. Pretty please.
if trump is more like the normal joe than other politicians - i dont want any part in the normal Joe... i hate that trump doesnt stand to reason, i hate that he shouts over women, i hate that he thinks he can get away with harassing, belittling and assaulting women, i hate how vindictive he is, i hate how irrational he is, i hate how overly macho and aggressive he is, i hate the way he doesnt treat people equally, i hate the way he wastes tax money, i hate the way he uses his power... among many other things i hate about him
if trump is normal then i dont ever want to meet "normal" because i sure as hell dont respect him - he's the very definition of an asshole (that word is probably even too kind)
why? i dont get it - why shouldnt there be a national standard for protecting the sexual health and wellbeing of your entire country?
i dont know how a flat tax helps anyone - you make the poorest poorer with no extra benefit to alleviate their poverty to help them
- progressive income and corporation taxes surely make the most sense as long as they are levied at the right percentages at the right income levels - and tbh we have it here in the UK (dont think you do in the US) but the lowest level of income earners shouldnt be paying income tax at all... - i think in the uk its up to £11,500 a year that is personal allowance and not taxed by the state - i think that's around $15000
Abortions is not protecting "sexual health" imo. There are 18 innumerative powers for the federal govt in the Constitution and sexual health is not one of them and everything else goes to the states. If the politicians voted in said state want abortions then the people there can pay for the abortions or like Lost said it can be privately funded.
Everybody talks about equality all the time. Right? Poor people can again be taken care of thru charitable programs from the more rich but it should be by choice not by force. See the major problem is is that people believe they should have rights and entitlements. Wrong. I've said this many times before but you are only guaranteed Life,Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Pursuit.
I may be able to buy in on some certain situations for war veterans who have suffered traumatic injuries or for people suffering uncontrollable problems/diseases but for the rest that don't pay taxes they should have to write a thank you note to all of us that do
Lol. I'll tell you what I'll never say you are not passionate.
planned parenthood is about much more than just abortions - it's about sexual health including diseases, it's about contraception, it's about health and wellbeing, it's about pregnancy
im not gonna argue again with you about abortion because i remember we were diametrically opposed - but i dont believe it should be a partisan issue and should be available so that people can make their own decisions about abortions rather than state-decided - but anyway planned parenthood itself should be freely and readily available across the country as part of the health service of the USA - people shouldnt have to pay privately/donate for contraception or STD checks or whatever just because the government wont help...
i dont get this - so you dont believe that everyone should have a chance to live a happy life, no matter the circumstances of their birth??? of course the rich should pay more to fund those who cant... im not saying robin hood redistribution of wealth im just saying they obviously should contribute more as a proportion
by relying on charitable donations only you are not guaranteeing a poor person from a poor background with no privileges any of their rights to life or liberty and thusly the opportunity to pursue happiness - and that's crazy thinking that they should be thankful to tax payers for their welfare
if taxes are setup for the right to live in a place then people who live in that place should expect that they will not be left behind - otherwise why should they keep contributing... especially when they are not born into equal opportunity
do you disagree with me though about him as a person really?
