The Well-Mannered Politics Thread

Not for things in this thread, no. Perriman thread. And to be fair, a suspension was appropriate. Although despite their reasoning, both people should have gotten the boot, not just one due to some point system. Some things are just common sense (you probably won't know what we're talking about if you didn't see that crap in the Perriman thread).
But my issue with this place is something completely different. Just a simple lack of any decency or professionalism from this site owner.

what the hell happened for someone to get banned?

Well for starters they didn't want you to cuss and when I want too I want too. I just believe the moderation was going to be the same as the Ravens site and I like a looser surrounding and there would have been no political section imo.

No matter how much I disagree with somebody I'm not ignoring them. 1st amendment rights. :D
It's not a matter of disagreeing but a matter of brainpower. There are some who are just too damn stupid, and I can't subject myself to reading their shit. In the olden days, I often couldn't restrain myself from telling a select few that the education system failed them. Ignoring them helps.

What you all think of CNN being caught staging a protest and creating fake news?

Doesn't surprise a bit. With all of the news outlets these days competition is fierce and these "journalists" will go to any length to get clicks and views. And I'm not sure there is such a thing as an unbiased source anymore.....maybe BBC? Don't know, hard to tell. You really have to be careful on what you take for fact.

I believe it's either 5 or 6 major corporations that own at least 90% of mainstream media. That's astonishing yet scary at the same time.

No not BBC lol

Internet!

people are really using the ignore button though? lmao

It was day two on here and this person was coming up with some stupid stuff and being an argumentative pest.
My visits here are just more pleasant without having to deal with knuckle heads.

Someone else did.

This person said the vast majority of politicians are in it for service.
Majority, meaning more than half, is something we could never prove. I think its just like any other profession. Some cops are nice...some are assholes.

@ me next time ;)

And I stand by it, at least the ones in Maryland. Grossly incompetent, yes. Selfish, no.

Also, yet another fact check analysis by yours truly found that the cited article is wrong. That exception was amended out of the passed law. :https://www.rallypoint.com/shared-l...ornia-gun-laws-california-political-review--3

And before you call that website shit, here's the actual bill text: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201120120SB610

If it passed as introduced, exceptions would be granted to elected officials for protection/self defense purpose AS WELL AS applicants who demonstrate good cause.

Christ, do you guys believe everything you read on the Internet, especially from some shit website called joeforamerica.com? I think this is the third time I've debunked some bullshit claim in five minutes of googling.
