2018 Secondary

Even Joe Thomas was beat just against us this year, doesn't make him garbage.
when did i call stanley garbage? Lol the other guy made that up. Anyway, thomas is not suppose to give up a sack. " he played vs an elite pass rusher so its gonna happen".. dumbest shyt ive ever heard someone say.

I didn't say you said that, that's just my own words. Point was, we were forced to pass and Stanley was on an island against a top3 pass rusher. Not an ideal situation. Is it good that he gave up a sack? No. Is it a cause for concern? Absolutely not.

So basically your argument is "yeah but they're busts, so Ozzie should be ashamed". Nice. Always great talking with someone who reasons like that. By the way, you were ready to trade the farm for Rashard Robinson, who has been traded for a 5th round pick to the Jets. So yes, couch GMs stay couch GMs.

Who said trade the farm?? He went in round4 lol. Who would trade the farm to move up into round4?? Robinson is an elite talent. He has some drama probs which I don't get into. I don't know him enough to judge if he will ever walk a line. I judge his skills and potential. GMs that get to interview players are often wrong about character.

I don't care if a player is starting. It doesn't he is any good. It means he is the best option. And maybe a coach likes him and roots for him and gives him extra opportunity. But all in all the player leaves you wanting a better player for the position. Correa could be given the No.1 role. It will not mean he is a successful draft pick. Perriman is starting. It doesn't mean he is a good player and successful.

You said we should have traded our first round pick for Robinson instead of selecting Humphrey.
There's a difference between being a starter and a starter by default and everyone can recognize it. Would you say Pierce is starting by default? Would you say Young was? Dixon? Judon?

He hasnt really showed me anything yet so i still
Have my doubts. Wanna see him play more and im sure he will get a lot of PT vs HOU

ummm - you must not be paying attention then - humphrey is having a brilliant rookie season - he just isnt starting coz we have two good vet outside corners and yet he's still forcing his way onto the field - we're also starting to see him come in on money dime downs where we line up with jimmy, carr, humphrey, weddle, jefferson and levine - he's essentially taking webby off the field on dime and is also coming in and replacing jimmy/carr for entire series at a time - he's a starting corner level replacement already which is incredible to have - he's way ahead of jimmy at this point in his career - he really looks like a good one so far

I think one thing that hasn't been touched on is Brandon Carr is having a massively underrated season.

Sure, he's gotten beat from time to time, but he's been a much better second corner than the Ravens have had for several years.

he's also got 3 picks which changes the game - if teams are gonna go after him because he's the "weaker" outside corner then they have to be prepared that he might make them pay big if they go to his side - the problem has been this year that our offence hasnt made the other team pay for going at carr much

He's on pace for a career high and he's been pretty much all you could ask for as a corner.

Like you said, offense didn't make the Vikings pay, but getting an interception after you're team turned the ball over is a huge morale boost to the team.

and also vs the vikes on their first play from scrimmage carr picks off a deep play and we really could have made a statement on that next drive (if only we'd had more than 3 receivers in that game after wallace went down lol)

That's the play I'm referring to. Wasn't it after a Ravens turnover?

Edit: Nope, just after the Ravens gained -3 yards and punted.

He looks the same to me as he did for bama. Plays good cvg but still doesnt get his head around and ball skills isnt all that.
