I was a big fan of the Humphrey pick and still a big fan of the Humphrey pick. He reminds me a lot of Jimmy Smith, and I am talking in his play not injuries. Humphrey is going to be a solid cornerback in this league and I am glad he is a Raven. I wish we still had Tavon Young and Jimmy this season, but we are better off this season to absorb those injuries. We just need to stay healthy God-willing in the secondary because we can’t afford anymore injuries at this point.
i seen tabor as Fs or nickel. He plays like marcus peters to me. I liked him also but then let the " draft experts" change my opinion on me

Tabor is as aggressive as peters and that's about it. His instincts don't match his aggressiveness. He sees a cut and he jumps it, he could care less about getting beaten. He was so undisciplined and frankly dumb on and off the field in college. There was a method to the madness with Peters, there is none with tabor
I liked Clark at Tech. I watched all his games and he was just that Jack of all trades, master of none. Glad he's finding a role here.
One player I'm super surprised to see struggle to even latch on is Bucky Hodges. Ford didn't surprise me too much.

I'm the opposite, I never saw it with hodges but I remember you raving about him, meanwhile I was adamant that Ford was gonna be good, I don't understand his struggles, he appeared to have great sharpness to his route tree despite not being asked to run many routes, and he seemed to have good enough speed and hands.
and then he dropped like crazy in the draft - maybe he interviewed awfully and didnt demonstrate any desire/love/iq for football and scouts saw enough of it on tape that they avoided him

AB couldn't do anything against Humphrey. Pees is stupid to let Carr keep covering him. I don't care if this team never shadows! They needed to last night. Carr is terrible. He is a veteran in the national football league and showed just as much coverage skills as Matt Elam last night.
i do wonder why, after the umpteenth time carr was beaten by brown, we didnt put canady there once (outside of bracket coverage) and bring jaylen hill into the slot...

Because Pees believes in giving his corners a chance to bounce back but it never happened. Carr is a solid durable #2 but nothing more and he showed that. Humphrey will need to shadow best receiver going forward each week. Especially when there is still Hilton, Gordon, and Green left on the schedule.

I usually defend Pees but at some point you need to realize you've lost the matchup. After AB eclipsed 100 yards early in the 3rd quarter you need to realize that Carr cannot defend him. Humphrey completely shut him down. The Steelers stopped lining AB up against Humphrey because of this and exploited the mismatch and Pees did not change anything.

Doesn’t excuse its existence. It’s jinxed our season and ruined any chance at playoff success

Only possible fix I see is having Humphrey shadow the #1 receiver and Carr covering the #2.
Looking forward to humphrey and Smith next season
