Berry isn’t the DC coach there now, but I agree. Would have liked Fuller as well.

Well, he was when Fuller got drafted, but Virginia Tech bias aside, I loved Fuller as a prospect. I watched every single game of his since he was a freshman and got to talk to him several times on campus and around town. Just a really good kid with his head on right. He just had the mentality to be a great pro.
Not sure we would have drafted Humphrey if we drafted Fuller
I think they would have. No need to not stockpile young corners and that means we don't need to spend a good chunk of the cap on Carr. Plus, Fuller wasn't at this level last year.

I'm honestly just really disappointed with the Correa pick. At this point I was banging on the table for Michael Thomas and when we passed I was really upset. Those two picks really prevents our draft from potentially being in the running for an All-Time great Ravens draft. Don't get me wrong, we had a stud draft but passing on Thomas just hurts me.
I still do not understand why we didn't take Thomas there. It still makes no sense to me right now.
Very much agreed. If the Ravens did it my way, it's Stanley-Thomas-Fuller.

Yeah I was a big Kendall Fuller fan as well. In the old boards I mocked him 2nd round and I definitely wanted him here. If I had it my way I would've made that move for Ramsey but I'm happy with the Stanley pick.
It is what it is in regards to the Correa pick, but I think he's heading for the bust factory. I don't want to act like I'm an expert at this because I had no idea who Maurice Canady was nor did I go crazy for Willie Henry but those picks are paying big dividends. I will give Oz his props when it comes to late picks because he is truly magnificent there.
The fact that those three were in reach and didn't require a trade up kind of stings. We could've had a legendary 2016 draft. It could have literally gone down as our greatest draft ever.

I think at best it could be the Ravens' second greatest draft. You just can't beat two hall of fame caliber players in the first round. Plus Jermaine who played a big role in that Super Bowl run.

Yeah it would be too early to call it potentially the biggest draft but it would be absolutely in the top three within five years.
Can confirm. That would've been ridiculous. There were multiple players I was hoping we'd take in the 2nd, Thomas included. Obviously a No.1 WR would've been atop the menu, but even someone like Deion Jones would've been of huge help. Would've had a much needed elite coverage backer to take care of the drops or just man up on TEs.
Deion Jones was one I came onto very late. I was not expecting him to be as good as he is currently, but yeah, I'd have taken him over Correa easy.
I didn't expect Thomas to be there after trade backs and didn't expect Fuller there in the third, so for me personally, it's really upsetting to see, "I had this guy as a late first and he's in the third. Take him! Oh, we took someone I haven't heard of..."

Since when is everybody hating Correa pick at the time?? I saved some threads of members getting very upset and heated at anybody criticizing Correa. Even a mass amount of namecallimg at myself and anybody criticizing the Correa pick.
Good to hear on the former. Honestly, he was my favorite traditional LB prospect behind Myles Jack. I was that high on him. Still cannot believe that PFF had him as an undraftable prospect. It's a shame when looking back at the available names that a lot of us hobby scouts had rated (very) highly. Thomas, Jones. Cody Whitehair had an outstanding rookie season. Granted, he had an absolutely atrocious start in pass protection early on this year, but he's bounced back with just 2 allowed disruptions in the last 8 games with very good work in the running game throughout. Would've solved our issues at LG, while being able to man either center or RT as well. @RavensMania got me onto Chris Jones, who's also having a terrific year.
Totally understand your frustration, especially since you were pounding the table for both. So you're fully justified to pan the selections in hindsight.
To be fair, the term everybody somewhat overstates things. There have been just three members who've stated their distaste for their selection in this thread.
PFF had him as undraftable...? What...? I know there were some size concerns (which probably put him lower on my board, but good on you for having him that high), but not a draftable prospect? That's bogus.
I remember so many people wanted Whitehair here. I was kinda indifferent because OL isn't the sexy pick, but you were definitely one of those who really put him on the map for me along with Flex. In hindsight, I'd take Whitehair over Correa any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I just... it's just confusing to me. Scouts and teams obviously see everything that we see and everything that we don't and they have access to the players via interview, but what is it that puts someone like Correa higher than a Thomas, Fuller, Whitehair, Jones? You know?
Like, I don't really know as many prospects as you do or a lot of the other members, so when a prospect that I can see is great goes passed up by the FO and goes onto kill it on another team, I just wonder what made that player not worthy of being a Raven.
So I sometimes wonder whether interviews can sometimes hinder the process and give you a stronger connection to a player and can make you root for them or overdraft them... obviously the interviews are important for some prospects to prove they aren’t headcases but I do wonder whether a really nice guy gets bumped up boards way too far because of good will
Because if that’s the case then having access to interviews may hinder - otherwise I have no idea why those guys are behind Correa
Well, like I said with Fuller- I talked to him so many times when I was at Tech. He was a year younger than me and you could just tell this is someone who had brothers who had done it before him and wanted to set him up for success. He was so level headed and so humble.
Like, what made him get passed up?
One thing I did hear is that prospects usually only have two or three games seen by front offices and it's those two or three games that you have to have to convince the teams to draft you. I guess I had the luxury of watching every one of his games.

Looks like it's ride or die with Humph, Carr, Canady and Webb then. Which is certainly not a terrible corner group by any means, but dealing with AJ Green is not going to be easy.
