2018 Secondary

Who strives to be decent?? But Let's cut through the chase. Cuz I'm going out on a limb and saying Claiborne will play in 16 games or close to it. And by mid season it will be clear we shoulda signed him over Carr. If im wrong then season isn't far off to tell the tale.

literally nothing you said made sense - quantum energy would only be used if it was stable... likewise quantum energy isnt a thing that exists... and since when has stability ever been a negative concept... - that is at least 3 obvious ways that analogy instantly fails

also what are you talking about - if you're wrong, you're wrong

Quantum energy is used as a slang word to describe strides moving forward in all facets of science. I was responding to the idea that all ravens need are average cornerbacks to be a dominant defense. And Butler is left on an island. Only thing you have to do is look at his highlights and you will observe all the plays he makes while locked in man coverage. After giving up an early TD he shut Beckham down the remainder of the game. Watch the game highlights he was tested often and in man up coverage every play he was thrown at.

And reason he wasn't used as often early is he was learning the playbook and schemes. I said his college there were less than 10 formations and coverages. He didn't know the complex playbook nor offenses routes and schemes to defend. But he is so good he was making plays anyways and earning more playing time. Even with Revis and secondary of solid players. And in science and anything. If you have not reached your goal yet. Progress (quantum energy) is next step up from stability. Joe Flacco stabilized an erratic QB predicament on the ravens. Brady Rodgers Ryan Bree's and Derek Carr if he keeps it up is representing quantum energy. Stability isn't bad but if you can get better do it

I agree with you 100%

Biochemistry graduate here. Can confirm quantum energy is not a slang term nor is he understanding the idea of quantum mechanics.

@allblackraven you're a physicist, aren't you?

nor am i a scientist of any sort but i felt pretty confident tearing him apart there

Lesson number 1 - don't speak about what you don't know....
Lesson number 2 - read lesson number 1

Dam i still wish we couldve gotten either sydney or budda baker.
One likely is sitting out a year, the other has less of a chance at seeing the field than Humphrey.

And I was probably the biggest supporter of both of those guys on these boards lol

Here's a question in hindsight - would we have taken Sidney Jones over marlon at 16 if both were available?

Meaning if jones was healthy? Yeah I think we would've taken him. I know Humphrey was getting a lot of hype close to the draft as being the 2nd ranked corner, but jones was the 2nd ranked corner through almost the whole draft process and even during humphreys hype phase it was still the majority who seemed to favor jones.

You could give the Alabama bias, but I think our bias for safe bets near the top of the first is an easier sell. That's why we took Mosley over HHCD, Stanley over anyone else, etc. we usually don't get risky unless there aren't any really attractive and safe prospect available
