To be fair to Trufant, wasn't his injury just this year?Same can be said for verret and trufant.

You're right. He played all of his prior 57 games before the injury, starting from the beginning of his rookie season. Too early for the injury-prone label. To be fair to Trufant, wasn't his injury just this year?
And even if he isn't a top 5 player, he's definitely a top 20 in my opinion, easy, with great consistency in his game. You're right. He played all of his prior 57 games before the injury, starting from the beginning of his rookie season. Too early for the injury-prone label.
Wow, that was really a bad article, but Chris Simms isn't known for being accurate in anythinghttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-camp-storylines-that-could-shape-2017-season
The part on Humphrey is the most wrong article I have ever read.
Never heard of him before...Wow, that was really a bad article, but Chris Simms isn't known for being accurate in anything
Did he respondI haven't paid attention to Chris Simms as a writer, but he lost a great deal of credibility in my eyes when he was announcing one of our games, and he stated that Steve Smith Sr. will not be inducted into the Hall of Fame prior to asking if he's ever had a season where he was considered a Top 5 wide receiver in any given season. Not 2005, apparently, when he was the last WR to earn the Triple Crown in over the last 20 years. I sent him a rare tweet the moment I heard the comment with that nugget.
He was tight in coverage all dayAny word on how Humphrey looked today?
Intelligently enough, he did not. I didn't expect a response since my activity on Twitter is bone dry, but I was hoping he'd at least read it on his feed. There just wasn't a potential retort in play. What's baffling is, Simms saw by far his most career game starts in that very same season with 10. He played in literally the same division as Smith while with the Buccaneers himself. He was sitting on the opposite sideline as he watched Smith put up over 100 yards on his own DBs in each of his two starts against Carolina. Then he watches Smith finish with the TC, and goes on to imply in the future that he wasn't a Top 5 WR in any season. Nevermind the fact that your job as an announcer is to do your research. It's only one mistake, so I don't mean to continue harping on it, but golly, was it absolutely avoidable.Did he respond
Baffling, but I can completely understand how bad he is at the craft. All you need to do is check his bloodlines. His dad is a bad announcer as well.Intelligently enough, he did not. Looking good, tight coverage all day and particularly promising was his 1 on 1 agaibnst Perriman where he was a step behind but still managed to turn his head. Didn't play the ball per se, but at least avoided any chance of DPI. Shows good progress.Any word on how Humphrey looked today?
I really like Chris Simms because he seems like a genuine dude and he's not an ass hat about the Ravens, but when I heard that, I had the exact same thought- what about 2005? I even had to take to Google just to make sure I wasn't imagining it.I haven't paid attention to Chris Simms as a writer, but he lost a great deal of credibility in my eyes when he was announcing one of our games, and he stated that Steve Smith Sr. will not be inducted into the Hall of Fame prior to asking if he's ever had a season where he was considered a Top 5 wide receiver in any given season. In that same game, wasn't he talking about how Smith used to terrorize the Bucs? I seem to remember that.Intelligently enough, he did not. Ah, good to hear. I'm familiar with him as a player but not as a person/analyst. Perhaps it was just that gaff then. Though it doesn't help that he called us being at full strength defensively against New England and Pittsburgh. Exactly lol I did the very same myself. Happens to me a lot when I hear something that's very much off.I really like Chris Simms because he seems like a genuine dude and he's not an ass hat about the Ravens, but when I heard that, I had the exact same thought- what about 2005? I'm almost certain he did as well. Good call.In that same game, wasn't he talking about how Smith used to terrorize the Bucs? I seem to remember that.
