The King, the First 3 Quarters, and the Complete and Utter Capitulation...AGAIN!!!

Which made it feel even odder that we seemed to be relying on zero blitzes (or similar heavy blitzes) to get pressure late
It seemed like the majority of time that a blitz was called, a first down for them was inevitable. I just.....don't get it. This defense isn't lacking in talent either.

It's not that complicated. We're just not a good team
We are a good team, like it's crazy how the first three quarters we show everyone how good we are, and the potential this team has. Then in the fourth quarter..... we let off the gas and barely escape with the win or it's another game we should have won.

Like hell it was LMAO. It'd be one thing if both teams were exchanging blow for blow in a back-and-forth type of game. But not like what had happened.
I know you had fun for 3 quarters watching Henry and Lamar do their thing in dominating fashion. Just ignore the 4th, never happened

We should at least still find some comfort in the fact that we should be a better team as the year goes on
I thought so too after week 1. But I'm really not sure after weeks 2 and 3. Like why are we really going to get better?

I feel we've shown basically our capacity on offense. It's not good and everyone will know what we're trying to do. Then on special teams and defense we just don't play well enough to win. Too many penalties and coaching and gameplanning and decision making is just not there to win games. It's not even there to beat poor teams.

I need the Ravens to beat the Bills in Baltimore next week to advance to 2-2.

STACK WINS!

Theoretically yes. I think what 'hurts' the most is that there was so much optimism after a loss in week 1 because we really did play fairly well once things started to settle in. And now we're in week 3 with our first win and it just doesn't feel good. I'd be singing a different tune had the game ended in the 3rd quarter though. Overall, would just say it's tough seeing what we could be but not believing that we can actually get there.

The worst thing is, these regular season games are Harbaugh's strong point as a coach.

He's been outcoached in nearly every big game throughout his tenure, even most of the wins in key games have been about talent rather than coaching.

Me: Is the NFL Scripted? Does the NFL use bogus penalties to ensure the right winners and losers of each game? Do NFL Officials Secretly Bet on Games?

ChatGPT: There are no credible or proven claims to suggest that the NFL is scripted, that officials use bogus penalties to influence game outcomes, or that officials secretly bet on games. However, these are common conspiracy theories among some fans, especially when controversial calls affect the outcome of games.

I'm not sure what happens late in games, but I do love that we finally have a defensive front that is winning individual matchups... Madubuike, Jones, Pierce, Van Noy, Oweh, and Ojabo (to the least extent) have all been pretty good winning their battles instead of having to be schemed to the QB.
Yup. We finally have the players up front and whether scheme or personnel can't utilize it.

I might be wrong but it looked like Dallas' final td drive we basically just went man and hoped they got home. We have serious flaws in every unit. 3 weeks in and the same problems most feared in the off season don't seem like they'll be solved. We do this again in the next 2 games and we're 1-4. Any team besides the Cowboys or Browns here and we probably lose.

Maybe Colts and bears.

My guess about part of the reason for these Q4 collapses is that Harbaugh thinks about the clock too fucking much because he doesn't have any offensive or defensive responsibilites.

He's the one with the final say, but all he's really responsible for on gamedays is clock and game management, so he makes too many decisions on that basis.

He views an offensive series with three runs as useful because it eats clock, whereas an offensive HC would be focused on getting a 1st down and a defensive HC would know that the O needs a drive because his pass rushers are wearing down.

A fucking clock manager OC is happy watching 3 and outs and a fading defense because he's focused on the seconds ticking down towards the finish line.

Also… wassup with Nate Wiggins and defending slants.

Bro be getting toast with that route all day today.

I didn't think the effort was all that great either, outside of the forced fumble of course. I don't think he's going to like that film review.
