Doesn't help Lamar's confidence at all. I'm really hoping we make a Boldin-esque type of trade this offseason.Seems his drops contributed to his end.

Hmm I really wonder if we’re drafting a receiver early because Brown is also gone.
overthecap has us at 35m. That is taking into account 10.5m savings with Flacco and 4.6m with Crabtree. Both of which are still on the active contracts with overthecap. We have 27m in cap space after cutting crabtree, that is accounting the flacco trade and tavons extension. So assuming we cut weddle we will have about 30+ to work with for cj and free agents
Because he most surely is. You don’t sign a one year prove it deal to take a pay cut. Some team will offer more than we will and that is if we even make an offer. Besides, I’m not sure he even fits the current offense the way it’s constructed. Why would you state Brown is gone? I've seen nothing concrete pointing to that.

Yeah the bye did wonders for him, you could tell pretty much immediately that he needed that rest because starting with the Bengals game he began playing out of his mindright so what i glean from this is that you only notice CJ when he gets beat - not when he doesn't get beat (which happens way more often) - and what about the times when he bails out his teammates etc.
i think his best year so far was probably 2016 but he's balled out 4 of the 5 years he's played and i see no particular regression this year from year 3 and 4...
and i dont think you really understand the MLB position in the NFL - yes it's partly about covering in man but in a league where TEs play like wideouts it's a schematic failure if your ILB is consistently covering receiving TEs 1v1 in man
i think the more telling pass defence is in zone when you play linebacker and CJ is brilliant against the pass in zone coverage - if you're a receiver running a shallow crosser within 5 yards of the LoS and you run through CJ's zone then he's gonna re route you and you're gonna know about it e.g. https://twitter.com/abukari/status/1069801709956947969 or this one in the same game also https://twitter.com/abukari/status/1070347798019796993 - if you're a qb and you want to throw over the top of CJ then you'd better have incredible touch because his length is gonna force you to make a much riskier throw
and beyond all that he makes the players around him better - he reads the game so well that he literally tells players where the play is going on many plays before the snap especially in the running game e.g. this play he makes for peanut https://twitter.com/abukari/status/1072324569158115328
he's not perfect - i think you'd find that no LB is - and CJ of course had a couple of bad games this year after he came back from his injury against the bengals - i think that's stayed in your mind because down the stretch especially after the bye, CJ was unbelievably good yet your enduring opinion of the season is that he didnt play well

Maybe Stanley? but maybe not. They still have him for two more seasons.Pretty sure this means a Mosley deal is coming soon. See another move we don't anticipate as well. The FO is up to something.
Do you think we go with one in 1st rnd?Its looking like decosta alreadt has this shit planned out.. he is making moves ahead of time and getting shit done..
What about all the trading the back and stuff? Was that moslty all ozzie doing you think?.. i can actually see us trading back and picking up a 2nd or even more thirds.. next yr draft is deep and we gonna have lots of cap.. if our guy isnt there in the 1st, wouldnt surprise me if we trade for next yr picks... shit idk lol i just wanna see what decosta gonna do. He seems like a guruwell as per usual it'll still be BPA but i can foresee them having a fair idea of who might be available and might be planning to manoeuvre their way around the board to get their guy at a spot they like just like they did with Hayden last year
you cant plan the draft - especially this early in the process but it is fair to say that DeCosta used to guess who our first rounder would be before the draft and he got it right a fair few years in a row - tells you he's probably pretty damn good at working out what other teams will do
You're right. Eric DeCosta from all we've heard about him seems to know exactly how the first round of picks will unfold. That is in of itself a distinct advantage when you're leading the draft process for sure. I can't wait to see how DeCosta's first draft unfolds...What about all the trading the back and stuff? I WAS firmly in the don’t overpay camp, until the second half where he started to take off and looking like a premiere LB, and he totally changed my mind.I'm in the don't overpay camp, but I'm damn near 100% sure that knee bothered him all season.
He was a 1st round pick that got overdrafted (9th pick 2017 to be exact)John Ross is a bonafide scrub. He was a 3rd round pick who got over drafted by a scrub organization based off a fast 40. He NEVER played that fast. Keep him away. He is Trent Richardson all over again
