Next Up: @ Cleveland

I hear ya about losing him. Whether it was right or wrong it was a very aggressive move by Harbs. Dennard Wilson would've been a far more conservative move considering the contending nature of this roster
I agree, but I've also heard Dennard Wilson wanted to be in Tennessee due to his connection with Callahan. Callhan would have been moving in a completely different direction of what the Ravens have done. He was only here for once season and was in Philly in 2022. I actually thought Anthony Weaver was in line to become the DC.

That's fine. I hope you're right and am rooting for him. You should watch the video though. It's not nonsense and opinion. Dude knows ball
Its just too early of an hire tbh. I mean it was certain that he was gonna struggle soon as he got hired. Not even close to having enough experience! He wouldve been better off being macdonalds DC like someone mentioned! I dnt want him to lose his job but id rather have someone else as a DC while he is the assistant or something.. our defense is too talented for us to be looking this awful. If we dnt win it this year and monken leaves, it might be over for us…… again, i wouldve treated mcdonald like jordan and gave him whatever tf he wanted for 1 more year lol

Harbs is again adamant about defending our secondary and by extension condoning the terrible job Orr has been doing (imo, of course).
Yes because good teams and organizations make a habit of publicly throwing coaches under the bus. If you want to know what that looks like go watch the Jets.

The fact that they brought in Peas to consult is more of a statement than anything a good organization would make publicly.

I'm calling that Orr turns this around and we end up around a top 10-12 defense. 2nd half of the season*
I agree but mostly because there are 2 games against the Browns, 2 against the Steelers, as well as Broncos, Chargers, and Giants.

Basically 7 of the 10 games are against bottom 8 offenses so that should help a lot.

Confidence builds communication...

Facing a "new" QB in Jameis Winston after Deshaun Watson went down for the season again!!

My mind goes back to that one time when we went to Miami and lost the only game the Dolphins won that year. I think Cam Cameron was their HC!

So, don't put it past the Ravens to lay a big egg in Cleveland unless the friggin' defense picks it up. Jameis Winston is the biggest gunslinger of them all. Our secondary sucks against gunslingers.
Oy if dnt throw ints, which in fact he will

Wild that we can miss Marlon and still have a pretty solid CB group compared to the rest of the league.

Stephens, Wiggins, and Maulet as the top 3 with Ar'Darius and JAD as backups isn't too shabby.

And don’t forget that with no marlo we can also drop Hamilton down into the nickel more too

I think if Mike MacDonald had stayed it would have been dope but losing Weaver and Wilson probably still would have been noticeable. I don't think Mike MacDonald was the sole reason why the defense played so good in 2023. His first year as the team defensive coordinator the secondary was ranked 26th overall in the league if not mistaken.

Mike MacDonald didn't necessarily hit it off right away as the team defensive coordinator during his first year with the team and its true he got better as the week went on but he also probably had better support to do so given that Anthony Weaver was a part of the coaching staff whom not only had more coaching experience than MacDonald but also had prior experience as a defensive coordinator in the NFL .

I don't think Zach Orr had that support until Dean Pees was hired. Its possible John Harbaugh was trying to hire more support for Zach Orr especially support that involved a coach that had prior experience as a coordinator because it was reported the ravens had interest in hiring Jaguars former defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell but it's possible the Raiders were willing to offer more money than the ravens. Some of the ravens defensive coaches that were hired this year are either new to the team or have little NFL coaching experience. Sometimes it just takes time for things to come together. Orr is young and in experience but I think the way the defense played against the bills should be telling on how good he can potentially be once things get settled with Dean Pees help..

easier said than done to keep him for one more year no matter what you give him as there are only 32 HC jobs and not many good ones. Seattle is a pretty good organization.

More Trenton Simpson
More Nickel and less dime
Arthur Maulet in the slot
Marlon back outside
Reduced reps for Nate (put him in good spots)
Swap Ardarius for Eddie Jackson

Orr with More experience
Pees helping
Less cover 0 BS

There's no reason this can't happen. I'm gonna speak it into existence

Yea i like hawks alot ever since they signed carrol and he instantly went and got mike williams. Theyre probably a qb and better oc away from competing

Nate needs snaps FOR SURE. We just need to help get Marlon on Jamar/WR1 a way higher percentage of the time compared to Nate or Brandon.
