actually GB was interested in Orr as DC as well. I do think it was a desperation move though.I'm sorry but this is the exact reason I wanted Harbs gone! We are not paid professionals and can clearly see what the issues are, you're telling me guys making millions can't? If this continues it's 100% on Harbs. Orr needs to be demoted, look I don't want the man fired but he has no business running this D. It was a move done in desperation becauae Mcdonald was going to take him to Seattle.
Can Orr be great? Maybe, but now is not the time to be experimenting when your QB is having another mvp year and your RB is on track for 2k yards.. this is crazy to even think about. The FO majorly dropped the ball.
Super Bowl aspiring team in 2012 fired the OC in week 14I know a lot of people say that Orr can't be fired until midseason next year if it continues. I would agree if this was a middle of the pack defense, but with it being a bottom 5 defense with Superbowl aspirations, a change has to be made at the week 14 bye if this continues. I don't know what that looks like, and if it continues for 14 weeks I don't know if it's fixable, but you gotta try to spark something before you get bounced wildcard round.
Could you imagine IF this team somehow reached the SuperBowl with the defense they currently have and how bad it would be against a team like the Lions, Vikings, or Packers.... Lions might run up 80 in that scenario lolWe need to ask belicheck can he coach us for rest of season on defense.. other than texans and kc( who i think isnt that good), we actually got a great chance at reaching SB..

We did it with pees and he is 5x a better dc than himI don't think Bill is leaving what he's doing now to be a defensive consultant or defensive coodinator. Also that would just be messy to ask him to be the defensive coordinator of a new team and have to learn the playbook on the fly while having to prepare for the next opponent during the process. I know the guy smart but that's unrealistic for sure.
True but I don't think the defensive system change all that much when Dean Pees was the defensive coordinator. I bet their still verbiages and etc that he used to use when he was the play caller 5 years agoWe did it with pees and he is 5x a better dc than him

To be fair, Harbaugh said that was his hardest firing and that was after a 4 year tenure in which Harbaugh was heavily criticized by the national media for holding on to him. He had no choice after that loss against Washington.Super Bowl aspiring team in 2012 fired the OC in week 14
Took 1 weekSnap back to reality oops there goes gravity
