Week 8: Lamar, Our Hands, and The Coaching

Orr has his issues, but he was also dealing with a depleted CB room while also making a decision earlier in the week to bench one of the top earners on the team for poor performance. The players have issues, but they are also clearly not vibing with the defensive scheme and are not being put in positions to win. Neither side is to blame or exempt for blame. They share responsibility.

And that's just this week. The analogy can extend for the whole season with slight variations of where each side fucked up.

Its not just about browns game.. this is going on every game! Unless he finds a way to scheme some pressure like last season, our pass rushers arent magically gonna learn how to rush! I think the secondary can be fix so im not really worried about that but the game planning, adjustments and pass rushing is gonna hurt us no matter if our secondary plays better.

I mean, I'd also say there's another failure if the only way you can get pressure is to scheme pressure, and that's not on Orr. The pass rush started the year strong but has fizzled out in recent weeks. Guys have to win their matchups too.

Sandtown has said before that Duvernay can be our WR1/2 and also said he wouldn’t mind Wink coming back before we promoted Orr, amongst other interesting takes, lol. And Tank is Tank. He can’t get off of Harbaugh’s nuts. I’m sure if Harbaugh slept with his wife, Tank would claim it was a great decision. I wouldn’t waste your time.

I think it's possible he could help. Clowney has always been a talented edge rusher but struggled with staying healthy. What Mike MacDonald did with him is probably isn't any different from what what the Ravens did with Pernell Mcphee and Zadarius Smith. This is how to a degree Zach Orr has used Tavarus Robinson but anyone that watches tape especially all 22 probably could say that is correct or wrong . I think even Calais Campbell could help as well as he's still playing at a high level. This would atleast help free up Nnamid and Travis whom isn't healthy at the moment.
 
Imma just go ahead and say it... no way Eddie Jackson was winning that Tillman rep in cover 0. If the pass rush had gotten anywhere close to Jameis, he has to offload that ball a couple of seconds earlier. All 22 has him playing that rep fairly well if what should have happened actually happened. That's on the rush there.

Right now, based on how it looks… we need natural pass rushers.. if orr cant disguise or scheme up blitzes, we need guys that can naturally get to the QB… clowney has never been consisted at doing that! Great run defender he is but not so good pass rusher. We had to do stunts last year just for our guys to get pressure, that shouldve been very telling but orr has went away with that…

You sure I said that about Wink ? Also never said Duvernay could be number 1 but did say I think he had the potential to be a solid number 2 but hey it is what is is.

With Anthony Weaver leaving I think the team will consider looking at Wink Martindale and Ron Rivera as potential hires for their coaching staff. Wink may be a long shot but he knows the defensive system and could be that voice of wisdom for Zach Orr. Ron Rivera and John Harbaurgh have history together back when they used to be apart of the eagles coaching staff together and are considered to be friends. Rivera is supposed to be still a respected defensive mind so he could also be another one that can be voice of wisdom for Zach Orr along with whatever role he is given to do.

I could see Harbaugh also being interested in coaches like Jim Leonard,Derrick Ansley, Shane Bowen,Mike Caldwell, Ted Monachino, and Matt Pees.

I wouldn’t feel too bad about it. Yea, it sucks, especially losing to a team with that record, but it was a divisional game

Lamar played lights out again and his stats would have been even more insane had his guys caught the ball. Just another classic case of beating ourselves with drops on both sides of the ball and stupid ass penalties

Divisional games are always wonky. We’ll be fine as long as we can get this defense to at least average
 
Even if we had won, this defense needs a looooot of fixing. We have the players that can make an impact so our best bet is to just hope we can turn things around just a tad bit leading into playoffs… i mean those usually be the teams that win the SB!

2012 New Orleans Saints had Drew Brees throw for 5177 yards and they missed the playoffs going 7-9. Fun fact our defense is on pace to give up 300 more passing yards and 5 more passing touchdowns than the saints did that year...

This not the first time you said something that I said and it was incorrect so I ain't bothering with doing more research on that one. I also do not care about being roasted for my statements . It really seem like you thought I went back to share a old post to roast someone but that wasn't the case at all. It was just simple sport discussion but if people gonna get in their feelings about it that leads to somewhat of personal attack then it aint worth to continue to discuss. Rather i'm Sandtown on here or Jazz1988 on RSR my goal isn't to make people look bad or make people feel like idiot for their opinion
