Projected BPA at 22

I consider him to be likely the most talented there, but I also find it very hard to draft a player in the first when we are invested long term with big money involved at that position.. I mean signing Earl Thomas is a pretty big deal... it’s not like having weddle and passing on James, one was a 1-2 year stopgap and the other is the best/2nd safety in football lol. If it means anything, if I was grading like a teacher, I’d probably have most of my top 10 within 10 points of each other based on talent alone, so these guys weren’t far apart to begin with
I would still take Adderly. If we get a two and Savage is available, I feel the same about him.

havent watched enough but it really was his big struggle at the senior bowl

and given the division we play in and the struggles we've had at the position with a certain type of guy e.g. gradkowski, zuttah, skura who are all not great anchoring im really wary of this with bradbury
He's new to the position relatively speaking. Really good other than that he can't show up vs. strength. I wonder how much of that he could improve.....very good upper body strength...lower half doesn't seem to match I'm afraid.

he does have good feet too - but he was getting bulled by some of the bigger DLinemen at the senior bowl practices

I am actually pretty sure DeCosta will try to trade back. None of the players mentioned here look like world beaters to me and seems second to middle rounds are where we'll try to find our guys.

Picking at 22. All the blue chip players are gone. But there’s still solid plug and play players

It looks like the difference between the 17-20th best player and the 45-50th best player is not particularly large in this class - so you may be getting a similar plug and play guy in the early 2nd as you might get at 22 (unless a guy falls)

Yeah. Not many standout players this year but a truckload of guys who all can go anywhere on day 2 to early day 3. Makes sense to try and increase number of picks.

Of all the pass rushers who cpuld be there at 22. Who do you think has the best chance at making an impact? Im not sure any of them would tbh....

The only guy i would consider is maybe Burns. But im skeptical about him too

He won't. I think most teams know he isn't going to be an lt. A team may take him in the teens as a RT, but he has a decent shot at being there in the early 20s.
With the best edge rushers lining up over the RT these days teams are valuing RTs a lot more, and I think Cody ford gets a high pick as a RT

Burns won’t be there at 22. I think the best available one would be winovich. Criminally underrated but even I wouldn’t take him at 22

Probably an interior rusher. The edge guys will likely go in the teens, unless someone like Sweat slips to us. Jeffery Simmons or Dre'mont Jones would be great for us.

Cody Ford...

If he's there at 22 you have to do it.. Protect your damn QB
Fully agree. If he's there we get a monster lg and Stanley doesn't have to babysit his right side. Also, no one is gonna create more movement in a power runscheme than Ford. Ingram/Gus behind him would convert a lot of 3rd and short or goal line plays.

My top 5 that could be there:
1: Cody Ford
2: Kelvin Harmon
3: lindstrom
4: Dre'mont Jones
5: Deebo Samuel

He needs to be coached up. Really raw but we are very good at coaching linebackers. He has the athletic ability and is a twitchy athlete, but he's really inconsistent. That being said, I could see him being really good at the next level.

put me on record as saying I'm not a fan of Montez Sweat. He doesn't bend well, always getting stuck on blocks, really inconsistent. He's got some great measurables and agility, but I'd rather not draft him unless he fell into the 2nd round and that won't happen after his combine.

He is stiff, but the handwork gets overlooked with him. He’s not a super flashy rusher so he gets overlooked, but he’s really refined with his hands and length translates, and he uses that really well too, he knows how to keep blockers at bay and keep himself clean
