Ravens Ring of Honor
Yes Jermaine Burton their rookie from Georgia or Alabama I think, looking like a total bust right nowWasn't there another Bengal who's basically been a headcase recently? I forgot his name but I know he's a WR.

he's been a head case all through college. Perfect fit in CincinnatiJermaine Burton
This is probably the least dramatic thing you've said on hereI know I'm the "dramatic" guy but anybody finally willing to accept my premise for the last 5 years?
QB
OL
DL
In that order. I've said over and over again that EDC likes to play money ball and zig when others zag. Until he puts an elite OL and DL around Lamar we aren’t going to win.
PS: I'm already going to pre-respond to "the well he signed Madabuike, we had lots of sacks stuff."
That's only half of the lines needed to be elite and even on just that side, that was nowhere close to an elite unit.

I think most people here have also been touting for years that building the trenches is the way to go - OL for sure.I know I'm the "dramatic" guy but anybody finally willing to accept my premise for the last 5 years?

Eric really likes "redoing" entire units in an offseason. We've really not seen that work out well. We've also seen him ignore OL or DL for an entire season. I'm an idiot that doesn't know anything, but in my nonexpert opinion, you just can't do those things and win a SB.I think most people here have also been touting for years that building the trenches is the way to go - OL for sure.
I'm probably in the minority of those who thinks that redoing the OL last year was a smart move. It felt like we were a piece short still obviously, but running it back with the old guys wasn't go to help us either. Next year feels like the year to add that final piece (and re-sign Stanley) and let them eat.Eric really likes "redoing" entire units in an offseason. We've really not seen that work out well. Still think a premiere pass pushing talent would be the thing that makes most sense for us to morph into an elite team. hopefully EDC and Co. are watching the Eagles tonight - Jalen Carter is the engine that makes that whole operation work.
They wanted to do more, for what it's worth. They wanted Dominick Puni where they ended up with Adisa Isaac instead. You got it!
Its not that what he did wasn't smart. It was but it was risky as fuck and not enough. It wasn't enough with Roger being borderline elite. Like if Roger was a normal rookie it would've been a complete disaster. If Ronnie got hurt (high likelihood) it would've been a total disaster. We got lucky in both cases and it still wasn't enough.
I was going to comment this after reading the first half of what you said.Big criticism there of course is not going up to get the guy you want. A patient approach isn't always wrong, but it isn't always right either.

I have been saying for a bit along with others like yourself this team needs a threat at Edge and some more at DL. Both spots require attention. Another WR would be wise to keep the offensive momentum. LG speaks for itselfOur OL was good this year - it is maybe 1 real dude at LG away from being an elite unit
our DL (including EDGE) requires significant work for sure
would not be surprised if we finished day 2 with our first picks being 3 of these 4 positions: EDGE, DL, OG, WR
If Parsons needs a highest paid contract then we aren't getting him. We got to take care of our guys first, Stanley then Hamilton then Linderbaum.
