he took a pay cut and it also voided 2025, which would have been year 5 of his deal. I think he's gone as well.I did not know stanley only made like 7mil this past season.. yea he probably gone lol

Don't know that he's 100% not coming back, but been trying to tell you guys all season that not only did he take a pretty massive paycut this past year, but they also shortened his contract, which at least partially indicates a lack of confidence in his ability.I did not know stanley only made like 7mil this past season.. yea he probably gone lol
So I agree with the premise.he's earned over 4.5m, he can afford to call a cab
I was actually trying to tag you to suggest that you were right but it wasnt working.. i think he agreed on the paycut because he was hurt so he felt like it was something that would benefit the team…. But yea i didnt know he made so little last season. Its no way he plays close to that again. This is potentially his last biggest pay day, he might as well break the bank and walk off into the sunsetDon't know that he's 100% not coming back, but been trying to tell you guys all season that not only did he take a pretty massive paycut this past year, but they also shortened his contract, which at least partially indicates a lack of confidence in his ability.
If I were him, the only way I'm coming back is if the Ravens give the best offer, and its substantially higher than anybody else.
And I don't see that happening.

I mean its a combo of factors. For starters, if he refused a paycut last year, I'm pretty sure we were going to cut him last year. The dead $ was substantial, but there was cap savings, and I don't think we would ever carry him at the original cap number. And he would have struggled to get any long term deals on the open market last year.I was actually trying to tag you to suggest that you were right but it wasnt working.. i think he agreed on the paycut because he was hurt so he felt like it was something that would benefit the team…. Yeah players, nor agents, view it that way. If that's the logic, then the two injury-plagued years where he was paid a lot was really backpay for the first four years of his career, where he made about $25M over four years, and played like one of the best LT's in football. Certainly underpaid compared to the market, and he wasn't extended "early" either.Nah. He also got hurt the week after signing a hunormous contract and basically got paid massively for two injury plagued years. Taking the pay cut means they are even. Yes, he will take the best deal out there, but no its not like the Ravens have to outbid as if there is animosity. All things even I think he 'd just stay, he just won't take a penny less.
I think there was a chance he would be cut last offseason and he wanted to stay with the Ravens, therefor he took a pay cut and if he hit certain parameters he could have earned a good portion of it back. Of course All Pro was the parameter.I was actually trying to tag you to suggest that you were right but it wasnt working.. i think he agreed on the paycut because he was hurt so he felt like it was something that would benefit the team…. Can you ask your guy to tell Stephens to sign with KC? We need to self sabotage them in order to beat them lol.Not all players are motivated by every single penny, and per my guy, Ronnie has said that to the front office directly. He wants to end his career here and he's made that clear. Now, I would not expect him to forgo a ton of money just because he wants to stay a Raven, but if things are close, he's going to return. You never know what offers a guy will actually get on the market, but the confidence of retaining him is decently high. They're willing to pay.

Can confirm he’s made a lot of money beyond footballI've said this for a while.
Stanley has made like $100M in his career and he seems like a very smart guy. He's probably invested in such a way that he never has to touch a dime and can live off of gains.
I don't think he's going to play for the vet minimum or anything, nor would the NFLPA be happy about that, but I don't think he's going to automatically swing for the fences if a team like the Patriots is offering it. I'd imagine he'll take a bit less to play for a Ravens-Chiefs-Eagles tier team because at this point, he's made the money.
Re-Sign Stanley, trade for Parsons and back load his contract lol. On a more serious note, this is very interesting when it comes to the cap. So good thing for contenders like us where a player may take a back loaded contract in exchange for winning.
We got 11 picks, and a draft that looks CRAZY on day 2.
Low key, I hope no slam dunk obvious choice players for us fall to 27, but a slam dunk obvious choice for someone else who trades us a third to move up, and other trades as well
4 or 5 picks on day 2 would likely pay off better than 3 picks on days 1+2

By definition, if he's taking the "best bid", it means if its the Ravens, then the Ravens have to outbid everyone else to get him. It means he will simply choose the team that pays him the most $.
