2025 Offseason Thread

He’d be a primary corner so that Hamilton and Humphrey can play their multiple roles, Hamilton can bounce from nickel to dime to safety freely, humph can bounce inside and out and blitz, and Ramsey and Wiggins are primarily outside, while Ramsey and Humphrey both can kick inside and take on a nickel role.

I’m getting hard at the idea of Ramsey with this ravens roster no homo
He was always a perfect fit for us but man thats gonna put so much pressure on lamar to win SB.. to me its already SB or bust i dnt want everyone else saying that lol

I know some people like to give some flack for the drafting, but if you go down the depth chart, only 3 of the starting 22 are not homegrown - Derrick Henry, Roquan Smith, and Kyle Van Noy. That's pretty damn impressive.

And as of now, it looks like maybe only 6 more non-homegrown players on an estimated 53 man roster entirely - Cooper Rush, DeAndre Hopkins, Joe Noteboom, John Jenkins, Jake Hummel, and Chidobe Awuzie. All of them are newly signed FAs.

All that speed wasn't helping him turn almosts into sacks so maybe getting more wins will.

He's still going to be faster than most QBs too.
Well they were talking about hime using some bullrush techniques but I guess we will see. He will drop 10 lbs easy anyway when summer training camp starts.

Gotta love offseason talk. Especially when a fan of another AFC North team thinks that our front office is lobbying for a home primetime game against a division opponent. @OURavensFan , are you doing the lobbying? LMAO.

Bengal fans cry more about the schedule I swear. Oh no you have to play a game in Baltimore again! Lamar owns them, burrow won’t get the gift of Eddie Jackson and Williams this year

It’s going to happen anyway, he’ll have MVP numbers and we’ll be in the running for the 1 seed by thanksgiving and everyone will say don’t care playoffs. It’s beyond irritating especially because he gets no credit for that insanely clutch Bills drive with special teams WRs. Imagine if Joe brrr did anything without two top 5 WRs. Oh well

Our schedule is tough af. If we get number 1 seed thats impressive. I dnt think bills are all that good however, they have an easy ass schedule

Fact is Oweh has worn down after X amount of snaps pretty much every year. His path forward very well could be as a solid run D EDGE who nabs 6-8 sacks. That kinda player can get himself 3-4 NFL contracts.

I'm not saying I disagree. This team has always loved them some premiere players right toward the end of the line though. Just checks out that there would be legit interest based on history.

i just dont see it
it's a massive contract that you'd take on for a 31 year old and we don't have a ton of space as it is

i think he does the opposite for us of what we want to do with hamilton and marlo by pushing those guys back to safety and outside CB - think ramsey would be used in the star/nickel role a lot (that's where he best fits i reckon)

but that takes the ability to play hamilton consistently close to the line where he's a legit superstar

I quite like the idea. He's fast but he doesn't really have bend or a ton of moves, so going for more bull rushes might work for him if he can keep most of his speed.

Who knows if it'll work for him but I like that he's trying something.

he's mostly a power rusher anyway
might as well have some mass behind those moves

as long as he's retaining his explosion at 265 (wasn't super explosive anyway)
and he wasnt getting the benefit of the 4.3 speed anyway (you don't want EDGE guys running 40s lol) - his 10 yard split is not as special as his long speed - no harm in giving up some long speed for some extra power

we'll see how it goes but the way he plays lends itself to being a bit heavier

it's also possible that he (and the coaches) want to rush him more inside this year

I know I talk all kinds of shit during the draft but I recognize we are one of the top drafting teams in the league by far, there’s us, the chiefs, and the eagles, those are the gold standard franchises of drafting and have been for a long time, but no franchise has been THE gold standard of drafting for as long as the ravens, the chiefs and eagles been doing it for like a decade, we’ve done it for 3.

He can bulk up all he wants but until he improves leaps and bounds with his hands, it will be mostly for nothing. Mass alone won’t win him bull rushes, he’s gotta disengage, which he doesn’t do very well and it appears to be a lack of technique or at least a lack of willingness to apply technique in high leverage moments.

People seem to be hyped that Lamar is even at OTAs, has he skipped all the voluntary OTAs? I can’t remember
Did a search. Looks like he missed a lot, and sometimes all each year since 2019. Great that he’s showing the commitment from the start this year.
