Believe me... I’ve noted the irony... and put it in the faces of all those who say running QBs are bound to get injured.

Bruh, you got rg3, and who else? Vick got hurt a few times but his career wasn’t derailed by injuries. There isn’t even a precedent for it, aside from guys breaking down rapidly once they hit a certain age like McNair, Ben, Cunningham, but no real evidence that rushing QBs all have their careers just fucking derailed because they get hurt running, however, the mightiest of QBs have been sidetracked for 1-2 years due to what seems like a routine hit in the pocket.
Never made much sense to me - if it was true, no pro running back would have career longer than 2 years.

As I much as I'm irritated by his shitty completion percentage it's still pretty clear to me that we gotta roll with Lamar. He has made throws that I don't think rookie Joe was capable of making. I'm quite a bit pissed that Joe might be starting next week and I hope it's just Harbaugh blowing smoke.

If offense only got 24 against that bad Chiefs D and defense gave up only 24 to that amazing Chiefs O, I would still be saying Defense did its job and the offense shit the bed.

Flacvo, Lamar, RG3, it doesn't matter who plays QB so long as the job gets done. The job playing the Chiefs is to put up at least 30 if you expect to win and they did not get the job done. Is it all Lamar? Hell no, but a lot more of it is than people here want to say. There is no shortage of blame to go around after all.

Funny cause when flacco was the QB this was not a valid argument.

good ol times in them fire Pees threads.

Lamar hasn't been perfect by any means, but he's improving week to week and he isn't out there losing games. He is almost certain (barring anything unforeseen) to be the QB next season and onward. I don't really see any value in transitioning back to Flacco for 3 games to make a playoff push, considering how rusty he likely is and how much the offense has changed to suit Lamar the past 5 weeks.

I dont think Joe offers any more of a winning chance the rest of the season than LJ, so with LJ starting the rest of the year it also gets him the reps he needs to get ready for next year

It's not only offense that changed - it's entire team. There's undeniable different vibe and energy on the field, D is playing well, Harbs looks like a coach with a purpose (yes, I said it), even our board is better place to be in the last few weeks, despite all the QB arguments going on.

It's again fun watching the Ravens and it seems it's fun playing, too.

Even though the Ravens defense broke down yet again I have to agree... I mean there was a different feeling when the Chiefs marched down the field and scored... More of the Chiefs just outplayed the Ravens when it came to crunch time, rather than the typical bend don't break but end up breaking anyways approach.

This team has a new energy and I know it will disappear with Flacco back in action. He is a good quarterback but obviously the team plays with more energy with the rookie on the field. I want to see Lamar to continue to grow and learn to throw the ball better. Yes he has some off balls, but so has Joe. The Ravens offense can actually consistently move the ball with Lamar. I get that the Ravens aren't really scoring the ball more than they did with Joe, but a lot of those points were in garbage times and inconsistent. With Lamar the Ravens hold onto the ball longer which in turn creates less opportunities for other teams to end up scoring 30, 40, 50 points.

I really think the Ravens need to keep the rookie in. With him the Ravens are the AFC's biggest nightmare IF and only IF they can sneak into the playoffs. Everyone is offense heavy in the AFC outside of maybe the Texans who are an all-around football team. They create a good matchup against almost every team in the AFC and could win 1, 2, and maybe 3 games IF they get in and if they continue using Lamar.

@Sooky totally agree and if we happen to win the division, we would end up with home playoff game against the Chargers.

Chargers have been a better team on the road too lol

Basically do we want to face the chargers at m&t or the steelers at Heinz field...
I just want the team to beat the Bucs and Browns who I can see giving the team fits and then hopefully trying to steal the game at LA but those cross globe games never favor the away team well. Plus the team needs to hope that the Colts, Titans, and Dolphins all drop a game in that time. The Colts schedule looks pretty easy and it scares me.... I can see them winning out and us dropping one game.

I wish you understood how much my blood boils having to give harbs credit right now, but is it rightfully earned to a degree? Hear me out and get ready for haters logic. This man was essentially forced into this current format of the team. Brown and Lamar might still be on the bench if not for injury. Same for Gus. This man might have Mr. Magooed his way into a new contract with us. For what it's worth the team never looked like they gave up and never have under him even if I think they have under performed. So I have to give him that. Good work, John.

Yuck

Also to add to this thread I haven't heard any film review but did anyone else think that the offensive line really struggled in pass protection? I felt like Lamar always had the pocket collapsed on him so he didn't have much time to set his feet and fling the ball.

Strictly off the live viewing, I thought the OL was pretty good minus a few lapses in the interior. Could be wrong.
