Maybe it’s Joe Flacco? I’ve always thought that Flacco threw a hard ball and it’s why so many balls deflected off WR hands. It would explain a lot.
If it's due to Flacco, I would accept poor placement or something along those lines. I wouldn't accept throwing too hard though. I understand there are times where you need a certain amount of finesse, and to be fair, Flacco only has decent touch on his deeper passes. But there were waaay too many times where we saw guys bricking passes with no defender within a couple yards. Just my opinion, but if you're in the NFL and you get both hands on the ball, it's your fault if you don't catch it.

If favres receivers could catch, Flacco’s receivers should catch them.

Perriman just needed a change of scenery and less pressure. He’s weak minded and weak willed, he’s just got mush between the ears, his injuries and first round hype and poor start in this offseason just got to his head and his weaknesses really came out. I think going to a team with no playoff hopes, with a young QB he can build with, getting a new coach, having no hype to his name at all, really allowed him to settle in.

I still highly doubt his talent overcomes his shortcomings and his lack of mental toughness in the long run, but he’s always gonna be a guy who can make a jaw dropping play at any moment.

Perriman's worst attribute aren't drops - he just can't get open with any consistency. Pretty lousy route runner.

While he was an absolute garbage route runner, I’d say it was certainly not a worse attribute than his drops. If the drops weren’t his worst attribute then it would be the lack of mental toughness

WTF Perriman?? While he isn't getting more than a couple targets every week, dude is catching every damn thing.
Why is it that WR's come here and forget how to run routes and bounce more balls off their chest than my prom date, but they're fine elsewhere?

Bobby Engram - I’ve wanted the team to replace him for quite a few years now - when you consistently fail to develop players at a position of any validity at all you should probably at least be on notice that you might not be in the job much longer...

There’s also a lot to be said for breshad not actually being that different in Cleveland to his 1st active year on the ravens - inconsistent, a few drops but also a few huge plays

Early on with us he was great at contested catches - it was the easy ones he dropped and it seems like that could be happening maybe with the browns too

Alternatively it really is us being unable to develop receivers and our inability to scheme to our roster’s strength

His route running, especially vs press was atrocious and he’d get completely taken out of a play even when he’s so much faster than a defender simply because he’s been eased all the way to the sideline because there’s no wiggle or nuance in his routes - Chris Moore a year ago was way better at it and he’s still not great

Never said he was anything less than dogshit as a route runner, just saying the drops and the inability to rebound from any adversity at all are worse traits, he would totally stall drives by dropping an easy 15 yard wide open ball where he had room to run, then he would hang his head and disappear for the next 2-3 weeks.

Yanda, Weddle, and Mosely are Pro Bowlers.

What kind of bullshit is this that Tucker is a first alternate? And no Humphrey? I know it's only the Pro Bowl, but they deserve to go.

Hahaha pro bowls a joke
There’s 6 steelers on the roster lol

Both pouncey’s made it - that should tell you a lot

And tuck is first alternate to NYJ’s Jason Myers - that’s pathetic

And ngl it’s embarrassing that weddle was selected tbh

There are some appalling selections this year - especially in the AFC - the NFC roster is way more realistic and merit-based
