When we fumbled in the second half and the went up 7-6 my two brother in-laws were so confident the bolts would not look back. I can't wait to root for the Saints tomorrow watching the Steelers game with them.

well

Im starting to warm to the idea of giving Z' Smith a contract.

We need to replace suggs with demarcus Lawrence or if we go a little cheaper trey flowers.
You'd think but ZDS is getting paid elsewhere and there's no way in hell Dallas lets Lawrence walk.
Start scouting for our next 3rd/4th round pass rusher to school up.

How shocked were they on the next series after the beautiful TD pass to Andrews

I just watched marlon’s pick again - everything about it was awesome

Rivers got the look he wanted - travis Benjamin basically 1v1 and marlon dominated him on the route and then made the great pick with Benjamin trying to do a marlon and get his arm in between the pass catchers arms lol

Yeah I’m not sure how much money ZDS gets and he may be unfortunate that there’s potentially some good edge rushers hitting free agency (and he’s not a traditional type edge rusher)

It may be a case that if we keep him we get ok value which I’d be fine with
Or if he goes we might be underwhelmed by the comp pick we get because his contract might not be as big as he hopes it will be

I liked how Lamar took care of the football today. He didn’t throw any interceptions against a team that could have easily intercepted the ball from him. That was a very impressive quality to me because I expected him to throw a few picks. I didn’t like how he played early on though and I felt like he made some bad reads but that was probably because of the LAC coverage. I definitely think the defense got to him and it confused him and that’s a big reason why we struggled; however, he did a good job throwing the football and looks improved there so you can’t complain too much. On to CLE to see how that will go but we have to win out the rest of the way. This next game is critical because it will be very hard to make playoffs if we lose.

Will be interesting to see how will FA look like starting from next year, with CBE deal ending soon.

It was amazing to see them dominate early not get much of a lead then give that lead up and not let it turn into a big momentum shift. And that momentum was halted by Lamar’s throw and Andrews (who is absolutely impressive) catch.

I had a feeling they could come out a little flat and they did. But when we didn’t capitalize and then they took that lead after doubling them in yards and TOP I thought ... oh shit.

The fact that we bounced back quickly then continued to dominate was fantastic.

haha ive already seen a load of haters on twitter saying lamar's still trash because he still hasnt faced a good defence

and im here like well if the chargers dont count as a good defence then who are we gonna face with a better one in the AFC here on out...?

the browns and texans maybe... but spitballing any potential playoff teams not the chiefs, not the pats, not the steelers, not the colts, not the titans, not the dolphins
If this isn't a prime example of moving the goal post to fit their agenda, I don't know what is. I still hold the Chargers to a high regard, but I thought folks were saying this was the most complete team in the AFC. Which one is it (not at you by the way)?

Not gonna lie, from the first angle I thought Benjamin came away with the TD before the refs made the signal as my heart was going to fade into oblivion. After the replay, I'm like "Welp, never mind." What a treasure Marlon has been this entire season. Hats off to him.

As much as tonight’s game was tense I’m going to be out of my mind next week. It will likely be a challenge but dear God what would I give for them to make it relatively painless. The resurrection of this season has been amazing we just gotta seal the deal.

Fewer interceptible balls too - he’s got away with a few in previous game but he had only 1 that might have been picked in this game that I can remember and it was one where he was hit as he threw and John brown ended up with a chance but kinda had to play defence

That’s a big improvement

Other big improvements:
- He found the check down when nothing else was open
- He hit the big gainer
- He won when the run was taken away from him
- He spread the ball around to more receivers in previous games (8 different guys had a reception)

Will be interested in @Edgar analysing this one because of some reads Jackson might have missed in the game (particularly a third down in the first half iirc that I didn’t notice live)

Fun little note on Jackson to finish - his highest passer rating of the year and it was over 100 despite going 55% completion percentage

Idk about paying zds.. i mean we should but at what cost? Id attempt to go after clowney or another pass rusher first

This shit shouldn't have been as close as it was scoreboard wise. Gotta come away with 7's at least 75% of the time on those redzone possessions.
