Roman will still work on blocking with TEs but I don’t want engram fucking up hurst and Andrews as receivers, he can’t coach guys to play the position he played how the fuck is he gonna coach TEs?

Its just a figurehead title in actuality he's the new washcloth inspector.

So you just gonna discredit what kap did lol. Thats crazy
Oh look. A QB went to the SB with a gimmick offense and elite defense, and was immediately figured out after a full offseason and was utterly exposed in 2013 when the niners ran into their far superior division rival. Sounds eerily familiar. Excpet instead of having the best offensive line in football, a future hall of famer at RB, and a top three TE at the NFL level(at the time) we have a bunch of rookies. Let's make it clear. Kaepernick had a lot of talent to work with. Lamar has some talent to work with, but it's not as good. e have work to do.

Others are correct about one thing. We need to get a passing game coordinator like Roman was our run game coordinator. I think Urban could be that but he's never really done such a thing before. Roman is an absolute genius with regards to a run game, but he kind of has the opposite problem Marty had.

I think Roman is a clear upgrade over Marty, but it remains to be seen just to how good he is.

I guess just like most of us have been saying that Lamar can develop, it’s also possible that Roman can also develop from SF OC days.

Okay the following season after willis retired and aldon smith didnt play? He never got exposed in a sense that they made him look like a bottom 5 qb. The whole team went down the drain after that season..im not calling kap a good qb but people arent giving him credit simply cause they cant put their feelings to the side.

I agree with the roman analysis.. he is a beast with the run game. I believe we can do well running without the gimmick offense but like you said we may need a passing game coordinator. I cant wait to see whats gonna happen this offseason and next season. whats crazy is that this is a similar situation with kap lol. He went like 5-1 then the next season went to the SB.... one can only hope

1. That was three seasons later, not the one. And if you remember that offseason, Harbaugh was forced out, as was Roman. Willis retired, so did their rookie replacement for him in Borland. As did Justin Smith. That team maybe had the worst offseason in NFL history. Yet, the oline was still good and so was the WR corps. Davis was still there and Carlos Hyde was a more than worthy replacement for Gore. "But why did they fail then?". Kaepernick. He's just not a good QB. Do your homework.
2. I never liked Kaepernick as a QB.. I don't give a shit about the protests and I've made that clear so don't put words in my mouth. He got a team to the super bowl that Alex Smith would have gotten to the dance.... Congrats! I wanted us to sign Eric Reid for god's sake. I thought, and still think, KAEPERNICK HAS NO TANGIBLE VALUE HERE. Plain and simple. And yes, Reid's drug tests are fucking bullshit. I'd happily take him on this seaso
3. Did you watch the following season? 2013 niners still ran a gimmick offense and ran into a lot of bad teams. The defense was still elite. What got them out of the postseason? Kaepernick got exposed against the Seahawks. HE WAS NEVER GOOD. The league figured out the gimmick. "But what about 2015 with Chip Kelly? Look at the stats". Those stats were collected in a highly QB friendly offense in garbage time. Remember, he was repeatedly benched for Blaine Gabbert.

Kapernick was a better version of Blake Bortles. He was never a good QB. Get real.

And no I don't want him here. RGIII is fine and will most certainly cost less money.

Yeah, this SCREAMS Harbaughs “I like you too much to fire you”

Hell, he literally offered Marty a different job too. Quit being a pussy and just fire these fuckers

I agree with all except Eric Reid, word has come out that even the NFLPA is not backing Reid’s story and that he exaggerated and flat out lied about a number of the tests

One step forward and one step back, we improve at OC, we have 2 good young TEs, but add a goddamn career ruiner to coach them

I'm to the point where a simple upgrade isn't enough. I would love for us to build a dominant line even if it takes a couple drafts.

Well we already have our Tackles which is usually the hardest part.
I’d actually say center is the hardest part, tackle can be such an athletic based position and you can find those guys still, but colleges can’t pro-prep OL for shit these days and a mentally and physically demanding position such as center, well it’s just really hard to find someone to check all the boxes, you can have all the brains in the world but when you’re in Matt skuras body you’re a liability, and then you got guys like Cyril Richardson who was a gigantic fucker but turned out to be dumb as rocks and soft as a pillow

I dont know. Seems like others have a different opinion when it comes to Bobby Engram. I have seen scouts speak some what highly of Bobby Engram coaching. Seems like a pretty intelligent guy. I honestly dont think it was a bad move at all for Harbaugh to try and keep Marty M around. His play calling can be inconsistent but i actually think he could have been helpful as a passing game coordinator .

Agree with you about needing a passing game coordinator If Roman ends up being the OC and now that he is the OC, I still feel that way.

Put your feelings aside.. respect kap for what he did on and on the sideline lol.. i dont want kap neither tbh.. i dont even want him to play in the nfl.. fk the nfl. Tbh flacco is also better version of bortles and there is no denying that.. another thing, “ garbage stats” cman man, its a 16 game season and the dude went what 16 tds and 4ints?

That’s an accurate assessment though. He collected those in garbage time.

He had a decent run in 2012. Then teams figured him out. He was never good.

I couldn’t give two flying fucks about him as a person, if I were an NFL GM I wouldn’t sign him to my team anyways, controversy or not. I’d rather take my chances in the draft.
