bill callahan as interim HC - as expected - O'Connell needs to get his resume sorted for other teams ASAP

i thought those 2 brothers really didnt like each other - maybe im misremembering something but im sure i heard that in the last year or 2 - would be very surprised if they worked together

the Ryan brothers they are not

Yeah that's the new rumor as Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay and Matt LaFeuer were all on the Redskins coaching staff at some point. They are all Head Coaches now and successful at that. So promoting O'Connell to prevent him from leaving like those coaches is their goal.

there is a huge difference. No matter what coach ends up as the Skins coach, they will fail because of Dan Snyder. Joe Gibbs kept him in check for some degree, because he is Joe Gibbs.

Oh yeah, 100% no doubt and it doesn't help him and GM Bruce Allen are tied at the hip. Meaning a new coach has to still deal with a terrible GM, while dealing with crazy Dan.

no you are very wrong about this. Jon and Jay are very close. He was also on his staff when Tampa Bay won the super bowl. He was very young and had a very minor role, but he helped with some of the game plan. Anyway, they are close and wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Oakland.
