The Good, The Better and The Best vs NE

Ravens remain UNDEFEATED when I go to Ravens game since 2012.

My voice is close to being gone from screaming so loud. Never been this excited for a win since the Super Bowl.
mine as well. I knew they would win, because @Grim was going to the game and he is undefeated. I didn't know you also had an undefeated record, since 2012. Anyway, that's the best game I've ever been to

I see us doing the same this as last game. Maybe try a few things out early to test for upcoming weeks then run the game out and go home healthy to prepare for the Texans. I don't expect anything crazy but like you, would love to see us take some shots downfield. Can't hurt to try and work on that timing.
I was actually thinking more kn the lines of those shallow crossing routes and even jet sweeps. Take advantage of their terrible line backers and get them caught with some misdirection. Should also be a good game for Andrews to get back on track with his production

If im going to bring up one negative its this

Justice Hill is not a good running back

if we're giving boykin time to develop there's no reason why justice shouldnt be given time too - he's got the burst that he's been useful in limited touches when we get him outside the tackles but we've not needed him on 3rd downs like we drafted him to do so its hard to really say so far

its a bit early to say hes not good but its fair to say hes been disappointing so far

Oh... One last thing. I remember people being mad about the Boyle re-signing. Pretty sure they see his value now. He's a MAJOR part of our offense. Made it out healthy with a lovely W. I'd say I'd sleep well if I could sleep. I'm up like a kid on Christmas eve.
Roman said we couldn't do a lot of our plays without him. Really happy that he got his first touchdown during the regular season and what a game to do it in.

Was nice to see Hollywood contribute in his 1st game back. I hope hes more involved next week vs the Bengals. I think his speed could cause them major problems.

he led all the receivers in yards despite playing only just over 50% of the offensive snaps - he's being eased back in but just having him available is great and as he gets healthier he should really pose some problems

boykin not getting many snaps is a bit disappointing though

i really liked the 2 new(ish) wrinkles we added to the offence on the opening drive - the pitch option and the forward pitch jet sweep to hollywood - the kinds of plays it was speculated we'd run a lot of during the offseason but we havent actually seen much of yet

what i like about roman is he's been adding a couple of new wrinkles every single game - its like we're slowly unveiling this offence to the league and we still have something new - not even sure we've shown the full scheme yet because no one's really stopped us doing our base offence in any meaningful way on a consistent basis - not even the browns in that blowout loss

This team would be near unstoppable if we can sign someone like AJ Green in FA.
I'd be so worried about signing AJ Green. Great player and all, but he has had so many injuries the last few seasons. He may have missed more games than Jimmy. Not sure about that though.

people quibbled with the money he got and whether a blocking TE was really that important but he's playing consistently at a level in pass pro and run blocking that is superior to many OL in the league - he's basically a guard who can motion across the line and run routes but also protect on the edge like a replacement level (or maybe even average) offensive tackle (especially in pass pro)

Some underrated parts of the game were-
Jimmy sneakily had a great damn game, super physical and made some huge tackles in space. Also creds to harb for letting his nuts hang and going for that 4th and 4 (although i never wanna see that rollout again)

All 3 of our TEs are extremely important in their own way and they are all balling out this year besides andrews against seattle

I'm disappointed with how Hill has been used so far. We should be designing plays to get him the ball in space (dump-offs, screens, etc.) instead of having him attempt the same type of runs as Ingram and Gus. Hill has deceptive power, but it seems like he's always swarmed when he runs the ball and doesn't have much of a chance to break out of it.

i hate those rollouts and they give me palpitations every time - when lamar reads the field so well why would you want to cut it down to half but i loved the decision to go for it there - and i like that harbs and EDC are committing to what the analytics say even if we get stopped sometimes over the long run we will win more games by making those sorts of decisions

RB is a position where you tend to see it early.

All 3 of our TEs are extremely important in their own way and they are all balling out this year besides andrews against seattle

our TEs as a group are so multiple and complement each other so well - hayden was nice early in the passing game in-line, boyle was a really great safety valve - he only had 27 yards but all 5 of his catches were important in keeping this offence moving - and obviously mark is a weapon in the passing game

you do but often that's also down to opportunity and getting rhythm - justice isnt getting many chances because teams arent stopping lamar and gus and ingram - and when we do get hill outside the tackles he is making yards and getting to the edge which is promising

I don't trust him. I dont know what kenneth dixons health situation is currently but if he's 100% i wouldnt be against bringing him back. He's a force when hes healthy and is fantastic in breaking tackles and finding soft spots.

there were also Rumors the Bills wanted Boyle and they ended up signing another TE to do what they were going to have Boyle do. I can't remember who that was though.

Man, I was there and had a HELL of a time! Damn those players introductions were probably the best I've ever seen and that got the crowd right into it. Stadium was so loud and I don't think I've ever heard our stadium that loud in person. It was a great game and I'm so hyped we won that. You can tell the noise had an effect on the game.

Game wise, damn it was nice to have Jimmy back. We got more aggressive and gave so many different looks.

I got to give credit to Harbaugh. Let's give him his due. He deserves it. Wink, man what can I say. I'm so happy we have this guy. Let's be honest here, he's going to be a hot HC candidate and probably the most sought after once the season ends. I hope we keep him but if he leaves I would completely understand. It's been so long since we had a DC this great. Props to Greg Roman too, what a game he called.

I seriously hope we keep this staff, lord knows what we can do once we build upon this team with this staff. This is the best staff Harbaugh has ever had.
