Just a general question but why do people get so worked up about predictions and/or power rankings that go against us? predictions and rankings are not only worthless but completely harmless, not even we were predicting this season. Every year we act like we're not respected but also want to fly under the radar.

Any other year I would be suspicious that the league was trying to screw us, but this year we've had the benefit of the doubt and lucky calls go our way. Now Im suspicious that the league is backing us because we got a sexy new offense.

Just hit me that we're WAY ahead of schedule. We expected a 2-3 year plan. This team gave us a big fuck you and are showing the league they're one of the best. Being a fan of another team that has no idea what it's doing, it's comforting to see a team do it the right way from top to bottom. Everything and everyone just seems in sync right now. Watching the Judon presser you can tell the guys have bought in and there's one focus.
calls start to go your way when you are winning. It's the nature of the beast and has always been that way.
I'd agree that he handicapped us starting in 2015, but 2014 was his best season as that was Kubiak's year. I won't go as far as to say he destroyed us, he didn't have players around him to succeed and he isn't an elite QB so he couldn't make the players around him better.

Well i dnt think baker is as bad as he is playing this season. Lamar def better this season for sure though
If we have too, its gonna be really hard to beat NE at home playoffs.. as of now, i dont see it happening but once offs start that may change for me depending on how we are playing

In case anyone was wondering, Week 14 is the earliest we can clinch the AFC North.
The Ravens can clinch the AFC North early if the following happens:
1) Ravens win in Weeks 12 and 13 (@ Rams, vs 49ers)
2) Steelers lose in Weeks 12 and 13 (@ Bengals, vs Browns)
3) Browns lose in Week 12 (vs Dolphins)

he definitely has talent, but that isn't the end all be all either. How about intangibles, Lamar has that and is off the charts on intangibles.

"Early peaking" is a mental thing - these guys (including staff) seem to be focused and on point, I don't see this as a reason for dropping any games. Sure, we may lose but it won't be because they grew too big in their own minds.

I disagree. The patriots have a way of turning it on in the playoffs, that is true, but Tom Brady is not the same, their weaponry is not the same, they simply don’t have the talent.
Bill bellichick this year is showing why he’s the greatest coach of all time, their success this year is based on a good secondary and outscheming opponents, previously they had an elite run game, they had the likes of gronk, who not only dominated in the pass to a point of carrying the entire passing game, but also was an absolute key to that elite run game with his blocking, they don’t have a guy who can carry the passing game anymore and the run game has taken a huge hit with gronks absence and michels regression. Plus, pass rush has taken a hit with trey flowers leaving.
I don’t fear the patriots at all, they just aren’t the same team they used to be. Edelman and Harry and sanu aren’t gonna run wild on this defense, it’s all smallball and the ravens are too lockdown and too opportunistic for that game to work. On the flip side, are we supposed to be worried about donta Hightower, Jamie Collins, and van noy? Good LB corps, with no notable front four to support them, schematically there is no stopping this offense, it’s talent on talent and matchup based, if a teams strength is in their starting corners, then they’re fucked vs the ravens.

Pat McAfee mentioned in one of the shows today - we are scoring on 54% of our drives, apparently the highest scoring rate in last 40 years.
Also, is it true that Texans D was rated 3rd best against the run before the Ravens game? We ran 263 yards on them??

it's a young team but this coaching staff have experience at making runs in the playoffs and 3 or 4 were here for the superbowl run (and of course greg roman had a similar run in the NFC that year also) but Harbs was here, wink was here, chris hewitt and randy brown were here and obviously the front office is basically the exact same (except ozzie and EDC switching seats)
Im not worry about NE as far as player for player.. BB is my only concern. Brady threw atleast 3ints directly to eagles cbs last night that they dropped.. ravens picking them shits off for sure
