Lamar Jackson

Humphrey isn't as good playing slot than he is as a boundary corner, but his ability to learn the position when Young was out was invaluable. His ability to play all three positions and cover is also helpful. No he's not perfect, but he's very good.

I also agree Lamar was pressing at times, because he felt he had to overcompensate and it was extremely noticeable on the fumble, when he should have thrown the ball away. Many players around him let him down and I believe there were 6 or 7 drops and the one to Hurst would have been a touchdown. Seth Roberts had one in the first half that would have been a huge gain and he possibly could have scored on it.
Absolutely on both counts. Humphrey was out of position due to Young but it’s happened other times too. Also that’s exactly how I saw it with Lamar pressing. He felt like he had to do it all because other guys weren’t getting it done. We’ll be fine, just wish we could’ve made it because I feel we could’ve taken it this year.

“The Ravens were a shell of themselves when it mattered most. And this time, Jackson’s pretty spirals and spin moves did not save them.”

Lamar needs to calm the fuck down for the playoffs, he was shook last year, he was trying too goddamn hard this year. He threw a pick and then violently horsecollared byard in anger and drew 15, and continued running his mouth. Lamar is usually much more composed than that. He wasn’t poised in the pocket at times, he was jumpy, and seemed to either hold it too long or throw it out of bounds way too quickly, not much in between.

don’t get me wrong, I’m not pinning it all on Lamar, but there was a VERY apparent difference between regular season and post season Lamar

It is a shame that there is no next game so he can get the bad taste out of his mouth until next season. This one is going to sting for a good while. I know I do not feel any better today. This one is going to take some time.

I get what you are saying, but I guess the one good take away is that the fire is there. I liked Flacco, but at times I wished I saw in him more passion, although Joe did have a knack of turning it on in January after average regular seasons.

I think it’s great for him [Lamar]. He seemed to significantly improve after losing to the Chargers. Can’t imagine how much he improves after this one.

Th way he tackled byrd had nothing to do with him being angry or frustrated. I think he expected a stiff arm or truck which was the only
Possible thing byrd couldve done on the crowded sideline. Idk but he looked composed to me. He looked like his normal self. Good reads other than that missed post, moved up in pocket alot, good pocket awareness all game, good instincts all game and even ran outta bounds when he was suppose to.he had his normal high passes and behind passes per usual so he looked very normal to me.

Tbh he mightve looked a lil better at times to me! might sound crazy but if we had some weapons, if we had to.. we could actually throw 40+ to win a game with lamar.. he handled that up middle pressure kinda good for a team who hasnt really seen it all year. Pressure was getting to him but he handled it pretty good. This year he has to work on that ball placement and putting a lil bit more velocity behind the ball though.. he has the intagibles and mental, just gotta keep putting in that work

He was just super tight the whole game, like he had to win it by himself. It probably felt that way at times. We need to set it up so he doesn’t have to hero ball.

I was never one to bitch about the spiral, but he threw a shit ton of ducks last night, and it wasn’t just the spiral but also the placement and velocity were wayyyy off.

that wasn't a horsecaller, we got screwed on that penalty and you are being too hard on him. There were 7 drops yesterday and a couple (hurst and roberts) could have been touchdowns. He was pressing when he fumbled the ball, without question.

He just needs to play his game.

I understand that you are disappointed, but the future is bright and we were beaten fair and square.

The wind will accentuate a poorly thrown ball. Until Pees went prevent 4th quarter with the big lead, he was having to throw where he usually would run. 59 throws, most of them poor. The Titans did a fine job of taking away the uncovered Tight End and shutting down our QB's run until garbage time. Most of our yards were very late in the game when the issue was no longer in doubt and they went prevent. When the field shrunk and there were no more yards to freely give away, our QB floundered.

Its a team game, but forced to pick one player to pin the loss on, its clear who that player is.

Lamar didn't play his best game but there were plenty of drops that should have been caught by the receivers. If you get two hands on the ball you need to catch that and there were seven of them in this game and five came in the first half. You catch five of those including the Andrews pass which he normally comes down with and you have a different ball game. Not only would Lamar not be pressing late in the 3rd quarter when the fumble happened but you may not even have the interception later in the game as well.

I'm not trying to discredit the Titans win, but we played a hand in their win and could have played a lot better than that.

Showed Andrews desperately trying to go up and lay out for a poorly thrown ball. It was windy, and the ball didn't appear to be wobbling but the wind certainly got under it. Poor Andrews, he's all out and has to both go UP and Extend OUT.....it nips the tips of his fingers and hes so totally extended he crashes to the turf in a heap. The Ravens QB composure is also there for all to see.

Truth is always there for those that seek it.

I can’t pin it all on Lamar, he was off, but he delivered what could have and likely should have been a huge TD pass to Roberts and he let it bounce right off his hands, the picked pass to andrews could’ve been better but andrews still should’ve come down with it as he often has, on 3rd and short or 4th and short the interior line was getting completely washed, Lamar was often evading interior pressure too(which played a big part in his mechanical regression), and then the coaches entirely forgot that gus Edwards existed and used the same exact gameplan that we used vs the chiefs. If one of our 4th down attempts is converted this could be an entirely different game, if we tried for one more FG early on instead of going for it this could be a different game, but we didn’t convert a single attempt and it fucked us every time.

this was a collective loss. I think the defense actually came to play, take away like 4 snaps and the defense would’ve had a lights out game, the titans just had a better gameplan, executed their plays, and played advantageous to their strengths the whole game, we did the exact opposite.

I will never again root for a first round bye, this fucking team and coaching staff can’t handle it. I will also be desperately hoping we don’t keep Judon because he will be an albatross and will continue to disappear for long stretches for big money and we can’t have that.

we need to sign Brandon scherff and maybe draft Tyler biadasz as well, knock all that interior pressure on its ass and make sure that we can run the damn ball against all 31 opponents and we will NEVER have to throw it 60 goddamn times again.

@JoeyFlex5 with Rivera being the new coach of the Skins, no way they let Scherff get away. Tyler Biadasz would be a nice get, but I'm all for bpa. I'm not getting this attributed to a number 1 seed. It's not like last year we had the 1 seed. We were out of sync and the drops early killed us.

The Titans mocking Ingram and Lamar and the Big Truss thing really was low class.

It's not the type of team I'd want to root for
Just some losers who haven’t been relevant in a while and need some airtime. Last week was their AFCCG and last night was their Super Bowl. They’ll get smacked around by the Texans or Chiefs. I’m just so glad we play them next season.
