Maybe I'm crazy, but just a gut feeling that we're moving up in the draft tonight as opposed to back. Not expecting anything major. Maybe a 3-5 spot jump, but I just can't shake the feeling that we want Queen.

I think you could be right, but it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

In a couple of years we will see how Kenneth Murray is doing and say, we don't know anything. How did we think he would be a bust. This guy has been to the pro bowl every year and of course he won't be a Raven.

I have a gut feeling too that we trade up, but I think it’s gonna be bigger than that, and I can’t shake the feeling that chaisson is our target. I think all the picks we have, and moving Hayden hurst for a 2, and trading for Campbell and signing Wolfe as clear win now moves, I feel like Eric has been slowly cooking up this move for a while, we’ve never seen the ravens with so many early picks and we’re so close to a super bowl right now, he’s got some shit up his sleeve.

everyone wants to talk about ravens typical philosophy and all but the situation is always fluid and this year is a good year to think our philosophy will be different. Everything points to a trade up, or some sort of splash move.

Would shock me if he's in the late teens. I definitely think DeCosta is more aggressive that a lot of people seem to believe. He loves picks but he also loves good players. If there's one available in that range that he really believes in, I don't think it's going to be a super hard decision for him.

Id personally rather we move for Epenesa over Chaisson

I too, cannot shake the feeling that its LB or bust in round one...had that feeling a while but I have yet to shake it. I went back and watched Queen. Im sure I prefer Troy Dye in the 3rd to Queen and would be disappointed by either LB in round one.

I can’t see Chaisson being an impact player year 1 for us. He wasn’t all that productive. His arm length scares me a bit, he’s also relatively young it’s going to take him some time to develop.

Exactly, everyone thinks it’s all about pick hoarding and patience but Eric decosta as gm has made exactly one trade back, and that was 3 spots last year. He also traded up in the third. And he also didn’t have picks hoarded and HAD to trade back to get more picks which he used to do what? Trade up for a player he liked. We already have the picks hoarded, we have the ammunition, and Eric frankly hasn’t shown himself to be this frugal overly patient gm that everyone on these boards seems to think he is lol

I think our front office is too smart to select an ILB in round 1. DeCosta is into analytics and data shows than an ILB will barely move the needle if we’re in win now mode.

Lack of production came from being injured in previous years, no lingering signs of injury though, and chaisson is possibly the most explosive defender in a class with Isaiah Simmons and chase young, and he is role-versatile, he’s a real OLB and not just an edge rusher, not just a off ball LB, but a legitimate 3 down OLB tailor made for an attacking defense.

I think people are over analyzing way too much with chaisson tbh, when you don’t see super flashy sack numbers you nit pick big time, But I think he’s way better than the numbers and a dream fit in Baltimore

Miami is so desperate to correct the wrong of winning games when they should have lost, it's insane. They don't want Tua at all, it seems if they can't get Cincy to accept a trade, then OT it is.

Seems the Jags want to ensure Jeff Okudah by trading with the Giants and beat Atlanta who I imagine is trying to trade up for Okudah as well.

Understandable, the main reason I’d support that is because it should take substantially less capital to make that move, epenesa likely doesn’t fall past Seattle which mean we just gotta move up a few spots. But if you’re referring to epenesa as a better prospect for us, ehhh I just can’t get on board.

idk I guess I’m higher on chaisson than most here, few months ago chaisson was super hyped on these boards and all of a sudden the hype disappeared, seems like we talked ourselves out of liking him because he was out of reach. Well... we traded hurst for a 2 between now and then, so he’s not out of reach anymore lol

This is a pure guess, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to learn that DeCosta was the one at the forefront of that move to try to get Khalil Mack or Marshon Lattimore over the last several years. I think he's definitely more on the aggressive side when the situation calls for it. Not reckless, but I think he's shown even in a short sample size that he's not going to just sit back and let things fall where they may. He's definitely more of a doer.
