  • MARK ANDREWSTE, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Ravens TE Mark Andrews, who has Type 1 diabetes, indicated that he plans to play in 2020.
“We’ve got a big year coming up," Andrews said in a Zoom call with the Children with Diabetes foundation. "My goal is continue to use my platform. I want to continue to help kids and families that are dealing with [Type 1 Diabetes]." Diabetes will reportedly be covered under the NFLPA's opt-out clause for at-risk players, but the 24-year-old could serve as a case study if he remains insistent on taking the field. (For what it's worth, Andrews knowingly pricks his finger about 30 times per game to diligently monitor his glucose levels.) He's believed to be the only active NFL player with the disease.

This is a VERY random thought, but it’s one I’ve been thinking for a while now... I think the ravens will end up with either von miller or Melvin Ingram in 2021. Von Miller could end up on the trade block next offseason with 18m in cap savings and Bradley chubb being there, and that is the exact kinda guy Eric would go after. And Melvin Ingram probably won’t be extended by the chargers and again he would be the kinda FA Eric would target.

The cap drop is going to complicate things, but these are the exact type of guys I could see wanting to come here for a 1 year deal to try again in 2022, assuming we have another good season. It's not going to be a great market for the "middle class" so I see a lot of 1 year deals next year.

It will complicate but free agency will happen, the nfl will work something out, I believe very strongly that the cap effects will be present but minimal. And as complicated as it may be it only helps the ravens, one because it lowers the market for all FAs, two because the 2nd wave type guys like miller and Ingram will be less affected because they will be looking to get paid and win, rather than get overpaid, the guys who wanna be grossly overpaid will likely be affected most as teams will
Simply be more value oriented.

I just can’t see anything happening to our edge rush situation to make the future look bright for 2021, and I can’t see Eric letting it go yet again with those types of guys being available.

Jk dobbins does not want to sit the bench.. however, when they mentioned the running backs, he started smiling like a mf

There's a lot for him to be happy about when he knows that he has tons of potential in this offense and, on top of that, he gets to learn the ropes from Mark Ingram. It's gonna be interesting to see how our RB rotation plays out in terms of snap counts and all that, but I think we're gonna get him on the field as much as possible especially as the season progresses.

Von would be an absolute dream come true

Superstars are still going to get their money. It's the older guys and mid-tier guys that are going to be hurt more. I look at a guy like Vic Beasley - he's not going to sign a 1 year/$9.5M deal like he did this year with a $175M cap. He'd have to settle for much less. Now, Von and Ingram are guys that would obviously still get paid more than a Vic Beasley would, but their markets aren't going to be as robust as they would usually be either.

AB gets an 8 game suspension to start the season. He would miss one of the Steelers games but first play against.... The Patriots.

I'd say we go crazy in the second half of the season and bring in AB.

Holy fuck. This blows my mind, how does he even manage his energy systems? This is a very large elite athlete who cannot produce insulin.
