The Good (?), the Bad and the Ugly: Week 4 Edition

I was sitting in the stands in row 4 right behind the Ravens bench and I pointed out to my wife how heated Maclin was. He was seen yelling in Marty's face with disgust....then he turned away from him and walked in the opposite direction and just stayed to himself. He was pissed!

it's the play calling, it LACKS creativity IMO. How is it possible that Perriman has the wheels that he does and at no point can we find the ball to him? all the routes look the same...even Cam C had more creativity than this and his biggest issue was not feeding Rice enough in the run game to be honest...

I agree! If I remember correctly, on a 3rd down, Marty called for a run play out of the Gun and it went no where. Maclin came to the sideline and was livid over it.

I should ask this- how are they making him look worse than he is? I saw that and vehemently disagree, but please share.
I'll reply and then just drop it because as often seems the case you don't grasp what are simple concepts, or just ignore them for the sake of argument.

A WRs' job is to catch the football, and at the NFL level if the ball touches their hands they are expected to catch it most of the time, whether it is a well placed ball or not. If you watch other NFL games you can plainly see other teams' WRs regularly do this. It's a fact and not something made up to rationalize poor play of a QB. And to add some of our WRs just can't catch.

See? Are you now enlightened? lol

Lamp is injured, anyway, so it doesn't solve anything this year and we're in the same boat.

He had a freak injury, you cant make the assumption that the same injury would have happened in another different city, thats like saying Sergio Kindle was destined to fall down some stairs no matter what city he was in.

Where do the Ravens receivers rank in the NFL in terms of drops and drop percentage?

According to various outlets, the Ravens are sitting at 4 drops, two by Perriman, one by Wallace and Camp.

The 49ers lead the NFL with 8.

Flacco has 118 attempts without being sacked and he has 4 drops. Crediting drops for a part of his poor play on that many passes is naive.

There's also no guarantee that he starts or plays well if he was healthy.

The play calling made no sense, don't even let me get started about subbing in and out Alex Collins when it was CLEAR he is the best running back we have on the roster not named Dixon who we don't even know will ever be back.

8 carries for 82 yards had me convinced we need to continue feed him the rock. The fumble was costly, yes, but at least he can actually pick up yards and had 2 huge runs...that 2nd run is the ONLY reason we scored a TD.

It's not even close! Collins wants it! West and Allen? They do to much damn tippy-toeing for me man! They are not Bell. Collins is nice with it though.

4 drops? Do you even watch the games? Guessing not. Maybe 4 yesterday. And what sort of stat says ".......without being sacked". He was sacked 4 times yesterday alone, and hurried a bunch more. Dumb. Fake news.

And again you ignore the point that our WRs aren't making catches that most NFL WRs make, whether stat gatherers classify them as drops or not. Just simple plain fact proven by the eye test.

naive......lol. OK. Now I'll drop it. smh

lol......I know Flacco sucked yesterday but the ball thrown to Perriman should have been caught. As Fouts said "That ball was high but should be caught by any NFL receiver". He was 5 yards from the sideline! Jumping a couple of inches puts the ball in his hands and he would be no where near going out of bounds.

I want to see Perriman succeed as much as anyone but like I said before the longer the board hands issues persist the less likely it's fixed.
Excuse me Dan Fouts, but Charlie Joiner, Kellen Winslow, Sr. nor John Jefferson would ever make that catch. Get some glasses.
