idk - so much of our rushing attack is predicated on speed - yes it slows down the guys on the edge but it also slows us down moving horizontally which is a pretty important element of the effectiveness of the counter bash/inverted veer stuff we do - if they dont have to respect the speed on the edge then they can just clog up the middle and that, to me, neuters what makes this running game spectacular which is the way we can win on the edge

snow slows down pass rush too which if the bills are gonna be passing a ton then that gives allen more time to throw in

i really don't think snow helps us at all - if anything i think it helps the bills pretty substantially

After all of the sliding during the first half of the most recent game in Cleveland, I'd rather not see Lamar on a surface covered in snow.

I feel the same way about Josh. Always have. Love his attitude and how dedicated he is. I think what sealed it for me was when he basically called out JuJu telling his teammates to let them do the dancing and they’ll do the work. The AFC is in good hands for years to come with the QBs we have.
Going into this season, I thought that Josh Allen was the biggest question mark. Could he step up his game? Boy........did he ever (still is). If this was last season, I would've been going on about how much I HATE the Bills. This season? My hatred for this team dissolved rather quickly. I've been very impressed with how he has fared against some of the top defenses as well.

To the Bills fans in this forum, @Matt , @Sonyab1974 , and others, my tip of the cap to your team this season. I have a couple of question for you Bills fans:
1. Do you feel that Allen isn't getting enough praise from the media or whoever?
2. Do you feel that Allen is getting more criticism than he should?

If both answers are yes, congrats. Now you know how us Ravens fans felt last season with Lamar and even this season to an extent.

Well the Patriots game monsoon certainly negated Lamar’s biggest asset . SPEED .

So I would have to say I would prefer dry conditions

I don’t want any snow. If we win or lose let it be because we were the best not because snow made both teams run.

I guess I get the sense that the media loves him when he is doing great and posting ridiculous stat lines, but as soon as he has a game with 260 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs they jump all over him and say "well, he just is too inconsistent". No matter what Allen does, it seems the media are waiting for any chance they can to say "Yeah, but". The man puts up nearly 5K total yards and 46 Total TDs this year and you still got dudes talking about Baker Mayfield being a better QB. Seriously?

Mayfield needs a running game and can't carry the team if he has to drop back and throw it 40 times a game. He is a good game manager at this point, same as Tannehill.

I guess it seems like any mistake he makes is amplified but you have Russell Wilson throwing a dreadful pick 6, getting sacked left and right and completing 43% of his passes last week in a bad loss and nobody says anything about it because it's Russell Wilson...of course he is great! and nobody ever bothers to mention how he has multiple game stretches every year where he looks like one of the worst QBs in the NFL and the offense dose next to nothing.

I feel like Allen has become so good so fast that people just can't believe that it is possible and so I think they just think this is some aberration and that Allen will go back to looking the way he did last year or maybe just slightly better. I think he is only going to get better and better and his ability to recognize what defenses are doing pre snap, understand when to check them into a different play to beat that coverage or check them into a run, where to go with the ball against that coverage and how to manipulate defenders with his eyes by looking to the opposite side of the field or staring at a target or giving a quick pump fake or shoulder shake that simulates a throw and quickly going back to the other side of the field to where he is actually going with the ball have become so good and so next level that it reminds you of a 10 year vet.

As of right now, it appears the lake snows will remain further south into ski country and will not have much of an impact on the game. The bigger impact will be the winds which are forecast to be from 15-25 mph and are notoriously swirly due to the stadium only having one tunnel instead of two, which causes the winds to swirl unpredictably, especially in the kicking and punting game.

Are you familiar with the “I was more impressed with the losing team” meme surrounding the ravens?

Loooool that gets me every time.
Lmfao like yeah you’re dealing with a fraction of the hate and doubt Lamar has gotten, because you heard these takes on SFY, FT, FTF, and undisputed, even skip and Shannon said that bullshit which is out of character for them. Weekly basis, Lamar could beat a quality opponent and everyone was more impressed with the losing team because they didn’t get blown out, what sense does that make Lol. I think the only guys who have been all in on Lamar(since he began proving himself as a winning nfl qb) has been Chris Simms and Colin cowherd.

Its just such an unacceptable take to have. The craziest part is you're right, we have heard it from multiple people.

Lamar was pretty shaken up last game. Not injury wise but just seemed a little paranoid. Forgot which play it was but he was super jittery and ended up not seeing the open guy in his face

That Cleveland field was mucky and crappy. I don't think powder snow will make it as bad as the field conditions in Cleveland. We'll see I suppose. Either way, I think we tend to sleep on Lamar's passing efficiency. In the red zone he is perhaps the most efficient passer alongside Aaron Rodgers. I don't know where I saw that stat but I did.

I'm excited for every ravens game. Even when we play teams like 2020 Jacksonville. Even pre seasons games. But there's something about today's game that feels so special that has me so excited its crazy. Today is a huge day. The biggest of the Lamar Jackson's NFL career. A win today, probably solidifies him to get that mega second contract and to be a lifetime raven. Now that's not to say if we lose, he won't, but he can really do good for himself with a win today. Last weeks win was really big for the post Flacco Ravens. Can't wait to see where we go.
