Juju’s decision to stay in PIT is a slight red flag for me. Yeah maybe he’s comfortable there but I have to question someone who would decide to stay in PIT vs playing with Mahomes. Maybe he thinks it’ll be easier to rehab his value in PIT where he doesn’t have as much competition from guys like Hill and Kelce. I’m also a little surprised KC made a move for him. They really don’t quit huh
It has to be nice surrounding your young franchise QB with as much talent as humanly possible

And let’s not act like it hasn’t payed off either for the Chiefs

Nothing is going to change until our offense develops a balance.

It’s just an odd situation, even with the worst passing offense, we are an incredibly successful team. However, it’s clear we’re not winning a super bowl until a balance is created. We can’t create a balance because quality WRs don’t want to come here ... therefore we set some more rushing records next year , win 9-11 games, get bounced vs quality teams, and prepare to repeat.

the chiefs would have been his best move for a 1 yr prove it deal

I think he turned down the chiefs because he likes being “the guy”. I don’t see a major difference in numbers if he went to KC or stayed with Pitt.

Its a vicious circle, won't pass more until we get decent WRs. Draft is the way.

It most certainly will have to be the way once we start paying Lamar and Andrews. Just really disappointed we kept Roman, the guy is known for getting QBs to peak , then flaming out bad. Lamar deserves a better system and supporting cast

Here’s some food for thought, I was listening to NFL PFF radio in the car, and they were talking about how Buffalo’s defense carried them to the post season Josh Allen’s rookie year. Freaking Kelvin Benjamin was his #1 receiver. Then the bills sacrificed some defensive pieces to fully surround their young franchise QB with offensive talent, and it paid dividends. I really hope that is kind of the focus from here on out. 1 or two more years of Lamar on a rookie contract, I think EDC sees that, which is why he was in on Thielen, Nuk, Juju, and Golladay. He’s going to undeniably try to pull off a trade for a true upgrade at the position, it’s just a matter of whether or not the compensation or cap hit is too steep.

Heard Pitt will have a good amount of cap next year.

Number 3 weapon in KC versus the number 1 in Pitt means if he takes a short deal in Pitt he is going to be putting up better numbers which sets him up for a bigger payday.

Wtf is even our WR situation lmao. Boykin belongs on our practice squad. I’m not a believer in Proche. Duvernay only seems to be used for sweeps. I like Hollywood but his hands are sus and is a low end WR2. This sh!t needs a goddamn facelift. Make. It. Happen.

for what it's worth hollywood's drop rate wasn't actually very high at all - he just had a poor stretch of about 3-4 weeks that made it seem like it

his actual drop-rate was only 6% which is about the same as guys like Jarvis Landry, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, DJ Moore, Devante Parker etc. etc., only slightly worse than Mark Andrews and was actually better than Willie Snead...

it's just that the drops stick out because in a low volume passing attack every mistake is magnified

Ahhhh didn’t realize that, yes that does make a difference. Who will get him the ball? PIT needs a QB behind Ben. I doubt they get that guy this year unless they are really lucky

he wasn't the number 1 receiver this year and he certainly won't be tbe #1 receiver their next year either. Now maybe he is considering that they have the most salary cap space in 2022, but to say he was the #1 option in their dink and dunk offense is wrong.

He had 92 catches last year. That is about as close to number 1 option as any player is going to get in todays NFL.

Still he was 2nd in targets and third in yards. But even so he got more opportunities than if he was option 3 at the Chiefs or Ravens.

he's not The Guy in Pittsburgh either.

Eh I’d have to disagree man. He led that team in Receptions and Touchdowns. I would agree that Claypool and Johnson are the future though
