2021 Undrafted Free-Agents

So who among this group has the best chance to crack the 53-man roster? I have to imagine a lot of the OLine players are going to be long shots as there are a lot of players who, while not great, have some real playing experience. I guess the Ravens do need a new TE and new LBs.

Probably Washington tbh which is weird though cause we are kinda stacked at DB now with Stephens and wade. One of those guys could be IR stashed if he shows out in camp

ardarius washington - he's a day 2 pick if he's 2 inches taller

Washington is the obvious one right now but we know there’s always that guy from the “nobodies” that ends up surprising.

traditionally it's been LB, RB or the trenches with the best shot of making it
- maybe blake gallagher's a really good special teamer and he takes the spot of alaka or welch (if either of them factor into the 53 equation) because of the extra year or 2 of control...
- sam cooper's super small school out of nowhere guy... could be the gem who comes out of nowhere because hardly anyone's actually seen him
- xavier kelly at DL but they like aaron crawford apparently
- nate mccrary as a RB with some juice

mccrary and gallagher probably have a shot if they play special teams...

ar'darius washington will probably have to play special teams too despite being 5'8 if he wants to win a roster spot - doesn't matter that the tape says he's better than his draft spot if he comes in with udfa pedigree he'll have to fight even harder for a spot

So strange that we draft two hybrid/safety types but Washington goes undrafted.
He's a better football player than either. Can't wait for him to make this team and prove everyone wrong.

either he really screwed up some interviews, his coaches are shit-talking him behind his back or every single team decided that 2 inches really do make the difference between a day 2 player and an undraftable player

he didnt test amazingly well but idk - turn on the tape and you can see the explosion and movement skills easily

Put it this way...if Deshon Elliott gets hurt, who on this team or in this draft class would you want filling in? A'rdarius is my answer.

100% - he's probably the most physical of the 3 DBs we've added despite being 5'8, he's got great instincts, great ball skills and nice range

This seems like a hefty amount to get him to sign with us. I like it.

that's more than what we gave TCC last year and he was THE guy that EDC targeted in that priority udfa period

TCC got 87,500 guaranteed including 75,000 of his base and a 12,500 signing bonus

tells you we really wanted him

Agree on Washington, but he's tough as nails and shouldn't have any problem playing special teams

Not to be a buzzkill or anything, but there is a UDFA pool and we have a small class so it’s easier to throw money like this at 1 or 2 guys

they clearly valued him somewhat - the ravens notoriously dont give out much bonus

Oh not debating that. They gave Washington and Ealy the big money this year. Just pointing out that typically we’d have to disperse the pool over a larger number of players. But with a smaller UDFA class, it’s easier to “pay big” for 1 or 2 top guys than it would be in a normal year. Still going to be a split contract though, too.
