Thanks for the chuckle, Doink. Troll on.
Definitely not a troll. And what the hell is a Doink? My goodness. Let’s just move on. This isn’t going anywhere and the thread is getting derailed.

Doink the Clown, from the old WWF. Google him. You'll understand.

If you want to direct the complaints about the derailment of the thread, the mirror is the absolute first place to look.

Anyways. I hope we can hear something on Houston. Weird he hasn’t signed anywhere yet. Love to have him here but Jeff Z hasn’t heard anything either

Think he’s trying to wait until after the minicamps/OTAs to sign on anywhere?

Was really hoping we’d nab him immediately after the draft especially with Indy taking Paye. I like Oweh but is he ready to start? The front office has to be in love with him, but I could see Bowser and McPhee being the day one starters with Oweh coming in on passing downs. I’ve just always liked Houston and think he’d be a great fit here

Houston is a great player/fit for what we need from him. And it's very possible to bring him in too, with a little tweak here and there. I just think he's holding out to see if more teams with a need at the position become interested. Plus vets don't typically love OTA's/minicamps/etc

I'd prefer not bring in Julio and that's for multiple reasons. Julio is one of my favorite players in the league, but you can't have everyone on your team. Yes it sucks, but it's not viable.

1st) Cost is too much. We can't bring in another high cost veteran when we have LJs 5th yr option and Andrews yet to be signed.
2) We need to have some available space due to the Earl Thomas situation
3) Next years cap is still going to be below the norm so having some rollover cap would be a good thing to have for the 2022 offseason
4) as @Sizzle said, I'd like to give our young WRs a chance to succeed in the offense. Sure Julios experience certainly would help, but playing time helps a lot also
5) read #4
6) Read @rmcjacket23 posts on the matter

If we had 16 to 20m in effective cap space and hadn't drafted Bateman and Wallace than I'm sure we would be knocking down the door with multiple 5th rounders, but we don't. We only have 9.6m and that's not taking into account going into the season with atleast 3.5m in cap space and the Earl Thomas situation, if we lose that case.

yeah, it's been in the back of my mind since we signed Yannick and then when the offseason began. We won't know until the offseason 2022 or atleast it won't effect cap until then

Based on everything I'm seeing, and based on how the Ravens have operated this offseason, I suspect they already kind of "know" that the ET grievance won't impact the 2021 cap. If they thought there was a chance, I think they'd have been much more conservative with cap space.

He was a complete joke.
he didn't have many sacks, but he was still disruptive. His problem was basically only used on passing downs due to him being terrible against the run. I'm pretty sure we signed him for the playoffs and a run against the Chiefs that didn't happen

That's a reason I like Oweh. He's very good against the run.

Yes, I believe it could effect the 2022 cap at the very earliest. That's another reason to go into 2022 with rollover cap.

Well it appears the Sportsbooks have largely adjusted. We're not the favorite.

Via DraftKings, we're behind the Falcons, Chargers and Patriots (all at +500) for odds on which team he plays with in 2021. We have same odds as Colts (+600), and just ahead of the Raiders and Titans.

Most of the international books I've seen have us in that 5 or 6:1 range, but we're definitely not favorites for him anywhere that I see. Patriots are pretty much the favorite everywhere, and then it's a wider range.

yeah having looked recently looks like we've dropped significantly to 6th or 7th favourite at this point

I'm good, it just seems like for someone who is so invested in getting a player, there is no defense at all for his stance of bringing him in once people start bringing up solid points.

i mean i dont think we're bringing him in - but the argument is that you think you're only 1 player away from a superbowl and julio's the kind of player that fits the bill as the type of guy to push you over the top

the only argument against julio (and it's a good one) is the money aspect
