Well it appears the Sportsbooks have largely adjusted. We're not the favorite.

Via DraftKings, we're behind the Falcons, Chargers and Patriots (all at +500) for odds on which team he plays with in 2021. We have same odds as Colts (+600), and just ahead of the Raiders and Titans.

Most of the international books I've seen have us in that 5 or 6:1 range, but we're definitely not favorites for him anywhere that I see. Patriots are pretty much the favorite everywhere, and then it's a wider range.

Julio would be a Belichick dream come true. He is exactly the type of player he'd bring in

Okay, I haven’t actually checked sports books just going off of what I’m seeing all over fb and YouTube

Man, you've gotta go straight to the source when it comes to FB/YouTube anything, not just football. FB/YouTube are the last places I trust information from until I see the actual source.

So for Lamar, you’re counting on Mark and Hollywood essentially (again). Bateman and Wallace are unknown commodities and could be busts for all we know. Sammy could be on the training table more often than not. I don’t even know what to think of Duv. So say we go into the playoffs with that group of relatively inexperienced WRs. That’s not enough firepower to beat the Chiefs, Bills or even the Browns.

Of course, our offensive philosophy has to change and I do hope Lamar throws more, because you have to be able to challenge defenses vertically in the playoffs like Joe did. I just can’t count on our current group of skill position players. This isn’t Q, Torrey, Jacoby and Pitta out there, who all had experience.

If a generational talent like Julio is available and you can make the money work, it’d be a mistake not to trade for him, in my opinion.

How do your rookies or even Duv get experience? By playing. I’m completely against Julio coming here. And I would still be if he did

You’re against Julio coming here in fear of stunting the growth of our young WRs? If anything, I think it’d be extremely beneficial for them because they get to learn from a HoF WR. Plus, you have to double team Julio, which creates even more opportunities for our younger guys.

Yes because stashing the young guys behind past their prime veterans have always worked for us. LOL. Hurt or not, Watkins is a leader and will help them learn the position better

Ozzie was notoriously bad at drafting WRs. They wouldn’t have worked out anyways.

Ok. Let's go with that. Let's bring in a costly, past his prime player at a position we already have stocked instead of finding someone who can come in and help us with a need such as at pass rusher/edge. But yes I love your idea.

You think David Reed, Tandon Doss, Perriman, etc were going to be successful? I mean the list is even longer. Only one he ever hit on was Torrey Smith.

Julio might be past his prime, but he isn’t a bum. He can still take over games. Have you even ever watched him play? He was about to have another monster year last season before he got hurt, lmao.

Figure out a way to afford him without giving up way too much for him. And then explain why we should add a receiver to a team who is desperate need of edge, and not another receiver. Then we'll talk.

No, I'm against bringing Julio here for several reasons:
1. He's too expensive, which everybody knows by now.
2. I don't know how long he'll be here. And I don't know if he'll be off the training table as much as Watkins will, either.
3. If he's here, either Brown, Andrews, or Bateman becomes frankly pretty useless in this offense. There's no scenario possible where the Ravens throw the ball enough to feed 4 mouths. I'm struggling to see paths to feeding 3.
4. I don't think teams have to double team Julio. He's not 25 year old Julio anymore.
5. I'd rather see us take whatever remaining financial resources we have left to add a pass rusher or two, and possibly another swing tackle.

I don't really have any concerns with being able to "keep up" with Buffalo or Cleveland to be honest. I don't see many paths where Cleveland has this high powered, explosive offense this year (much in the same way they didn't last year), and it would have taken a whopping 18 points to knock Buffalo out of the playoffs last year, of which they didn't look overly impressive in any of their playoff games, and I don't see a reason why their offense will be significantly better this year.

KC is always a concern, but adding Julio doesn't make us a favorite over them by any stretch of the imagination either, unless you're planning to put him on defense, which was the problem last year.

My ideas put much more eloquently. Very well done, good sir.

Doesn't sound like you agreed to disagreed. It sounds like he challenged you to simply find a way to even get Julio on the roster, and you didn't even bother to try.

If you can't get past that point, there's really no point in talking about anything else to be honest. I mean if we're playing the "Madden is real life game", why stop at Julio?
