Judon is a fairly average pass rusher and his coverage ability pretty much began and ended with screens.
bowser is a below average pass rusher(but oddly a solid blitzer) and was elite in coverage in 2020. Don’t be surprised if bowser is just on a later trajectory than judon. Bowser was always the low floor-high ceiling guy, and Judon was always the high floor lower ceiling guy. Like if you wanna bring up Judon, don’t be surprised if bowser surpasses what peak Judon is, it was always a possibility.

Tampa paid more for him than Bowser. If Bowser was as good as David, we wouldn't have been able to sign him. That being said, he's excellent in coverage and fits our defense to a tee.

lol duh. The point is Judon didn't have impressive sack numbers and still made the Pro Bowl. If Bowser ends up with 5-6 sacks and plays coverage and defends like he did last year, he very much will be in the discussion. Whether he makes it or not is, in some ways, beyond his control anyway, since the Pro Bowl is, at least partially, a popularity contest.
Ok so we both agree that he is gonna have to do more than just play good cvg to make probowl? Lol gotcha

Yes. Just not a lot more. We're talking 2-3 sacks more, which I don't think anybody thinks is a major jump. Quite frankly it would just be to his 2019 totals.
I believe even if he had 2 to 3 more sacks he wouldn't make the pro bowl for the same reason we both have said in different ways. It's a popularity contest and the Ravens don't have very large fan base. He may very well deserve to go to the pro bowl, but without the fan votes, it's difficult.
Now, I'm not saying it's impossible, we have had the largest amount of players in the pro bowl for two straight seasons and that was without LJ last season.

Maybe. But again, Judon was far from a household name and he made it back-to-back years without eye popping pass rush stats.
In a lot of ways, it'll somewhat be a product of how well the team performs. If we're like a 10+ win team again that's in the Lombardi conversation, by definition, there's going to need to be some Pro Bowlers on that team. Doesn't mean it'll be a linebacker, but we've got a defense that has a lot of good, but perhaps not great, players.
I don't expect Bowser to make a PB, and I don't think he ever will. I personally put almost no stock in PB nods, especially when, if they actually do play the game, you end up with like 6 or 7 alternates in some cases because so many players don't want to go. Vince Young made a Pro Bowl not once, but twice, and by QB standards, was probably below average in both seasons, borderline bad. He made it his rookie year (primarily for his ability to run) by throwing more INTs than TDs and completing barely over 50% of his passes.
So this, hopefully, will be the last time I discuss the PB likelihood of a guy who we're still trying to figure out really how good he is, and from what I can tell, is very much still developing.
