Damning but not surprising quote:A glimpse into Revenue losses from COVID and its impact on NFL teams in 2020...

Yeah I think it was 2018 where they made damn near close to nothing. They did a bunch of expensive stadium/area renovations that year, and it was also the year Rodger signed an extension and they gave him like a $67M signing bonus.Damning but not surprising quote:
"“It was the first time we haven’t had a profit in over 20 years,” Murphy said. The last time, he said, was before the major stadium renovation completed in 2003."
Probably one of the first "name" players to suffer a significant offseason injury...
CAM AKERSRB, LOS ANGELES RAMS
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Cam Akers suffered a torn Achilles' tendon while training.
Akers will miss the entirety of the 2021 season while recovering from the injury. The news is devastating for Akers, who was poised for a breakout campaign in his second year as a pro. Akers finished his rookie season on a hot streak and Sean McVay had nothing but praise for him this offseason. Darrell Henderson will take on an expanded role with Akers out but the Rams will almost certainly be looking for a veteran to bring in as well.
I mean I didn't think Akers was a special talent. Good player, but I think they can still run the ball effectively in that offense with a lot of different guys.Stafford already loses his runningback for the season. He only had a 1000 yard rusher in Detroit... ONCE when he was there. Going to LA he was getting everything he didn't have in Detroit, such a bummer.

Probably. I just don't really care about 1,000 yards because I don't view it as a significant achievement. We're talking 60 yards/game. I think pretty much any back in the NFL today could get 1,000 yards if you give them 200-250 carries. He had 625 yards on 145 carries and 2 TDs last season, he definitely could have built off that this season and rushed for 1000 yards.
The Houston Texans after months of not listening to trade offers, will finally listen to trade offers for Deshaun Watson.
