not sure Elliott will need market value due to the injuries he has had over the years, but if he does we won't sign him.
Well, truthfully, I don't know the value of a lot of these FAs-to-be. I have a suspicion that Averett and Elliott will do worse on the open market than people think, but regardless, they'll be significantly more expensive next year than this year, given they were dirt cheap.

Bozeman is the only one I'm confident would do very well on the open market.

I think the Ravens might make more of an effort to retain him than we expect, given the organisation's emphasis of the position. But money talks so it ultimately might not be possible.

Edit: you covered this as I posted.
Maybe so, but you're already paying market value to three Corners (Marlon, Peters and Young), of which Peters and Young will be going into their final year of contracts, meaning they could be either extension or cut candidates. No chance I see them paying market value to four Corners at the same time.
Would also point out that they're getting a little on the "older" side there, and Corners can take time to develop.

Three plus Westry seems realistic and is still a situation where I don't think we need to draft a starter. A corner (or two) in round four seems about right.

Ideally I'm thinking (roughly):
1: DL/OT
2: OT/DL
3: DL, S
4: CB, OL, MLB, DL

But like rmcjacket says, you can't pigeonhole yourself and that has to be flexible based on the board.

I do think 3 is the maximum and it’s possible we only see 2 back - and some of these guys may be gone soon after - I see DB (and CB especially) fairly similar to how I see OT right now - we’ve got talent that’s injured and not much young high calibre talent coming through and the cupboard could become bare very quickly

Also genuinely just an advocate for drafting a DB somewhere basically every year

and as we’ve seen proven multiple times in recent years... you can never have too many corners

Of course we’d like to keep all of them but it’s tough to justify 4 corners being on second contracts (as well as a safety) which is where an infusion of rookie contract talent is helpful from a roster building sense

I think you very well may be right with Averett, especially since the cap is still not at regular value even at 208. He definitely won't get top dollar but the final games without Humphrey will be telling. Elliott I don't think gets anywhere near market value and we may decide to keep him because of it. He's more valuable to us than to another team at this point.

I agree with you on Bozeman as well. Think we may be saying goodbye to him. I was a huge advocate for him going into preseason after watching a bunch of tape of other players at bama for the forum mock. I was stoked that we landed him in the 6th round.

One of either Averett, Young or Peters won't be back, and possibly two of them. I also don't think we keep Elliott. Elliott and Averett are going to need market-value contracts, and I don't think they'll be cheap.

My gut says Marlon, Peters and Young come back. Elliott and Averett are gone. If so, Westry as your 4th corner probably isn't ideal, and you (again) would have no depth beyond Stephens and Clark at Safety.

I think we'll be adding a Corner and a Safety in the offseason. Just not sure where and when.

Why keep Young? He can't seem to stay healthy whatsoever. I agree that Averett should be gone.

Interesting structure Browns and Mayfield agreed to when they drafted him back in 2018 vs the Ravens and Lamar.

What makes Lamar's 5th year option 23m while Bakers is 18.8m?

those contracts and 5th year options were changed by the most recent CBA - there's now escalators for playing time and if you make it to a pro bowl - lamar got to a pro bowl so his 5th year option maxes out the QB salary there whereas Baker only hit the playing time escalator
