Head Coaching Candidates

Harbaugh said Kaufusi has to "earn" snaps. Lol. I think he's given way to many opportunities to people who really haven't.

CB white from bills is a better cornerback than hump. Maybe its cause he start so we get to see more from him. Hump has potential for sure, but seeing him play the same way he did in college, basically no improvements.... annoys me
Nah White got exposed. I liked White but he's very grabby and he gave up big plays this year.

i thought white was a better cb but i wouldve never drafted him at our spot. i wouldve moved up for lattimore tbh. Probably wouldve required a 3rd so hopefully ozzie wouldve still drafted tim williams

It's precisely what happened. Ozzie tried to move up for Lattimore. Not sure what was asked for it though. My fear with Lattimore is his harmstrings, he's uber talented but may be too injury prone.

wasted pick. another in the recent litany.
our guy was litty. he went one pick before we chose. we should have traded for that pick.

humpf is not a corner

a team has to be solid up the middle. bwilliams starts it. mosely continues it. behind him we suck. weddle made another horrific play sunday. remember the pats game last winter? how many times did Reed cost us a game? they call them safeties for a reason.

litty litty litty

More like Reed is a HoFer for a reason

Weddle has been so bad that....You can only come up with two mistakes in two years?

not sayin we can duplicate Reed, heck recent track record is clear, we wouldn't even recognize the next ed reed. saying Michael Huff, Matt Elam, Kendrick Lewis, Traywick, Weddle, Jefferson and failure to draft litty is clear proof someone ain't got it no more. No further comment on the purge.

Because a GM is judged by his ability to draft the best FS in history every now and then. Makes a world of sense.

Moving up five spots would have cost more than a 3rd

Ed Reed is a generational talent. You don’t those type of players in every draft. Trying to get better at that spot doesn’t mean we need Reed. Weddle was a top 5 safety last year and he’s still very good. Intangibles can’t be thought and his leadership ability back there is incredible.

once again guys, not saying we need the next ed reed. but am saying if the next ed reed was sitting in front of our 65 year old general manager in 2016 he would not recognize him! (by the way, I believe the next ed reed was sitting in front of ozze last year and that ozze never gave him a look).

reed was our pick in 2002 and I can guarantee that ed reed is not the same man today he was then. neither is ozze newsome.

ozze needs to go out on top, (even if it is actually a little late for that), isn't that a lot better than becoming a bad joke among raven fans?

Disagree, I believe he would have taken hooker If he dropped to 16, however there was a lot of talent available and I loved the Humphrey pick.

once again the best indicator of what a G.M. would have done is what he did.

being on the record is important. on the other board I said the only corner I made "undraffable" was humpf. for comparison, matt elam was a starter his rookie season in game 2. he started every game thereafter until about mid season our last playoff year. then it was over. humpf started the Oakland game, which we won! but to this point that's it. elam was gone by year 4. humpf was picked at position 16. can he outlast elam? maybe, but one thing is certain and that is he was drafted to be a corner and he ain't no corner! humpf aint startin, maybe harball sees he ain't no corner. if harball keeps humpf off the corner maybe harball figures he can survive the coachin purge that's building offshore

Lol, no comparison. I disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion.

Just because Elam failed doesn't mean Humphrey will. Could he? Sure. But so could every other draft pick.

And I'm not sure what you mean when you say that Humphrey isn't a corner.

Agree, he hasn’t shown that at all. Humphrey on the other hand has shown ability to be a top corner in the league for the time he has been in. He could start right now, but we are bringing him on slowly.
