If Jim Harbaugh wants to take Greg Roman back, he can have him. It's going to take a bit before anything is decided on Roman & Wink considering they usually all meet at Biscotti's house and what not. It does say something that Greg Roman or Wink aren't lined up for interviews this year, I mean we didn't make the playoffs meaning they are available to interview now. Perhaps teams are figuring that we are winning and succeeding on offense in spite of Roman, not because of Roman.
One can hope. Roman would be good for the Bears, for 3 years...

Please, Jim?

Whatever praise and accolades he deserves for a seven game winning streak, he deserves identical criticism and failure for having a seven game losing streak. So its a balance.

If it's impressive to win 7 games in a row with that team, it's also really, really, really, really hard to lose 7 games in a row with that roster, and they did that. So I don't personally find it all that great of an achievement either to be honest.

I'm sure a lot of people look at yesterday's game and think "well that's a good ending to the season", and it may be. But I also look back at last week, in the definition of a "must win" game to maintain any chance of a playoff push, and they lost by 31. Didn't even get off the bus for that game. And he was the coach in that game also.

Harbaugh would have the phins with the #1 draft pick. The only team that Harbaugh has a some what secure job with, is the Ravens. After a few losing seasons with other teams he'd be fired again and again. Fans would crucify him.

Don’t they usually do the whole “meet-up at bisciotti‘s house” and strategize before making big moves? That’s why these decisions don’t come too hastily.

That's more for player personnel and will probably be in the next few weeks. Coaching decisions would be made now or within the week most likely.

I see Greg Roman trending on Twitter and it's mostly Ravens fans asking why he hasn't been fired yet lol.

that's normally for discussing the offseason philosophically and strategically where they come together and make decisions on what the strategy will be regarding free agency, extensions etc. and where we might be looking to improve with personnel and if there's going to be any philosophical changes in terms of coaching or scheme that might affect personnel acquisition

it's normally about looking forwards rather than back

highly likely we'd have made any coordinator changes before that orlando meetup otherwise there's still stuff up in the air during those meetings

He'd also be unemployed for like a half a second if he were to ever be fired.

I might be going out on a limb here, but I actually like our coaches, Harbs, Roman and Wink aren't perfect but imo they're well above average.

The injuries we've suffered this season aren't an excuse for keeping them around, they're the reality this team has had to face and frankly would've sunk any set of coaches league-wide. Keep the coaching consistency, get healthy, re-sign who we need, bring in who we can, draft well and we'll be in good shape for a serious run next year.

This is going to be a very difficult offseason for the FO. They have need in the trenches and IMO DL is the most concerning unit on the team with both Brandon Williams and Calais Campbell being FA. I think they'll pursue a new deal with Campbell but I don't see BWill coming back and that's going to be a blow for this defense. I know his play dropped off but I think his shoulder effected it. As the season went on he seemed. to have improved. It's not easy finding a 2-gap NT and you need to make sure whoever you decide to replace Bwill with has discipline. They lack play-makers on this defense beyond Marcus Peters, combinations of not catching the football and not really playing for the INT.

As far as the defense is concerned, I think they're going to rely on young guys (Queen, Stephens, Oweh) stepping up and taking bigger roles, and will aggressively try to retain Campbell, Houston, and Williams but I doubt all three return.

based on his end of season presser it sounds like bwill is in a similar boat to jimmy i.e. he wants to keep playing for the ravens and it's 100% about whether the ravens offer them a contract to stay - i have a feeling they might see whether brandon is happy to continue on a low-price deal to continue to play a rotational role for us at nose tackle - there'll be mutual interest, the only hold up that i can think of would be how much money brandon wants (and if he cares about it that much now that he's managed that rare nfl achievement of actually making it the whole way through your 2nd deal without getting cut or extended) - it's also possible that the front office just isnt interested at all and just wants to get younger by any means

but id be surprised if we didnt at least engage with brandon about returning for another year - especially because he's a NT - we dont have anyone under contract who plays that spot and the only other guy who can play NT who's played for us the last few years is justin ellis

i imagine if we dont retain brandon we're 100% going to be retaining jelly

im not sure if campbell's going to play another year - again i imagine they'll offer him something if he's not retiring and it'll be down to him to decide whether the money's enough to stave of retirement (or making it to free agency)

houston will be more complicated in the sense that he's only been around a year - will be hard to know how happy he'd be to play at the discounted rate we got him at last year again given the cap increases - an offer that EDC himself didnt want to make because he thought it would be insulting

Really though. He reminds me quite a bit of yanda and I don’t mean to make a lazy comp, but he’s incredible at springing the play by making extra blocks and helping his guards, and he’s a master of positioning and leverage. He’s just really impressive on film for being only 290.

I want this guy as much, if not more, than anyone else on this board.
